Preseason rankings are so hard because players and teams do worse/do better than expected, meta changes and game balance changes (like switching to 2-2-2). Still can't wait for this season to finally get going
Just a note about your worries about the LAV DPS situation: KSF said on Twitter that he's going back to flex DPS, he just played hitscan last season because the situation demanded it.
I’m a Toronto fan, and I’m happy you put them a bit higher than other rankers. I hope they synergize and become scary in the playoffs. I think the reign will win this year though.

I don’t rate Nevix, Kellex and don’t know beast. Might be harsh but it’s my opinion. And I would loved to be proven wrong
OpXX Nevix and Kellex are the real x-factors of making the playoffs or not this season.

Well, there were two teams you were right about. The Uprising and the Shock.
To be honest, I really don't see Fusion as top 3. I doubt they'll be top 5. Their support line is incredible, and they have an amazing off tank... on a Korean speaking team. It's been a long while since Fury was on a mixed roster, and so there is a bit of caution there. But then comes Sado and the DPS line... Sado was a below average main tank last year, and was always the weak link of Philly. But the DPS line... is just so questionable. If Carpe and EQO preform like they did i season 2, this team will falter. Ivy is generally untested, but could be good. Yes, if this team fired on all cylinders they'll be contenders, but some of these players haven't been that great recently, and considering how Carpe is rumored to be a bad teammate... I just don't see it working.
"Below than average" is an understatement as to how bad Sado was.
Philly is the definition of unproven. They have a potentially top 6 DPS line, a great support duo and a great OT, but most of them are new to the team.
I'm hesitant to place them below 7-8th in my power rankings
Fury has really good English, before he was on London Spitfire he was on a mixed roster. So that won't be a problem in that respect.
Carpe and Eqo are mad overrated imo. Happy and Nero even are so much better in their respective roles

Though I agree, Happy and nero should be a better duo than Carpe and EQO.
I always thought that Nero is, or will be, the best Western flex DPS.
I respect your decision with Seoul Dynasty on 10th, they're just really sketchy rt now, but i still believe!

I don't know why, but I have a gut feeling that Fusion might implode on themselves this season. On paper they're great, but I can't shake the feeling that they are about to let everyone down.
If one of their starters gets sick their backups are not gonna fill their shoes.
I'm Baby I really can’t see it happening. The support line is absolutely insane, carpe and rap have solid back ups so all the peruses isn’t on them, and they have the best off tank.

As a Fusion fan, I've learned that the key is to keep your expectations low and be pleasantly surprised when they pop off. How great would it be if Chipsa wasn't actually a meme pick? I'll be waiting.

As a Houston fan, I can comfortably say that you are overrating them. I'm almost certain Rawkus will be an ass about losing his spot, and I'm sure Meko will start the season off rough as hell.
Kasimir TG I don’t think Rawkus would be an ass, but the acquisition of Rapel brings competition to that position for the 1st time in team history. And as for MekO, as long as Hooreg is around and Jecse being the IGL with translation in check, this team will be good than most people expect.

If harsha gets this mixed roster ro work and thus synergy isnt a problem, they have a good chance of squeezing into playoffs. Unfortunately, theres also a decent chance they implode and end up bottom 3 or even dead last. Here's hoping harsha lives up to my hype.

i think atlanta's stocks might go up when they finally announce their 12 man roster. With 2 support slots left, Kodak in the void, and Fire leaving Envy not long ago, I imagine that they could then have Kodak and Fire, both good supports to back up Masaa + Dogman. I do think that Dogman/Kodak are both not top 5 flex supports, but if they could improve enough to not be a weakness, I think ATL could be scary

I was thinking Fire and Kodak to Reign for a while. I also thought Fire and Hago at some point but then landed at Fire and Kodak.

no, houston will just suck. meko, rapel and jecse have not once played with westerns and westerns have not once played with koreans. they will struggle in comms.

@@lvvkey3005 Houston while they had Arhan also stated they had learned Korean callouts specifically for him so they could communicate better as a unit. Also Meko has been learning English while on NYXL as have the entire roster as stated many times. He wanted to be on a mixed roster and Harsha has proven he can make a mixed roster work in the past.

As a Philly fan, I'm really excited to complete my set of their skins in what is shaping to be their best season. I feel like sado won't hold them back much at all looking at the other pieces in their roster
As a JeHong fan I don't really understand why Vancouver took him either. Like RyuJeHong is a good Support and a good in-game leader, but when you have Twilight who's just as good, if not better, it really doesn't make sense for the Support part. Then the only other part of him that would be good is his In-Game Leadership, but even then I feel like so many other people could've taken that role other than him. I really love RyuJeHong and I'm glad he's on one of the best teams now and can't wait to see what he can do, but I just feel like when him and Vancouver have so much more potential if they both did something different.

I’ve been a London fan since 2018. Everyone has been hating on London, but I like where you put London. I agree with you and I like how you didn’t just go, “this team sucks”
They re obviously not trying to win s3, but im really confident that they will finde a couple gems so they can put together a great s4 or maybe end of s3 roster. Also Glister is incredibly underrated.

Gotta say I'm riding the Toronto train really fucking far. I absolutely adore Surefour, one of my favorite players in the league in fact. Kariv is amazing and I know everyone's big concern is Beasthalo being the only main tank but I've watched his games on Fusion University and he's just awesome to watch. I have a huge amount of confidence that he will outperform people's expectations, and that's also nothing that he has an off tank player that is really good to ease him into the league. I love this roster and the second I can, I'm buying a Beast jersey
Dividing I love you. FINALLY someone respecting Hangzhou. I've been seeing most ranking having them in the TEENS.

I agree with most except the Defiant which I think can be a top 5 team honestly. I think having a great player at each position even if the supporting parts aren't the best will let you win a lot of games.

As a Fusion fan I am very surprised to see them that high, even with the recent additions to the team, this past season just makes it surprising to see them rated that highly

Im very biased when it comes to Gladiators since ive been a huge fan the first two seasons. But I think you might be underestimating them a bit. Like sure the DPS line doesnt seem super confidential but I believe Birdring could be very good in a totally new and more efficient and team oriented environment. The London mindset last two seasons seemed very messy and taxing so I think it might give him new motivation to do well. As for OGE, I think Space will help him with his confidence issues a ton

I agree with most of this list. But I do think Florida Mayhem has the potential to crack the top 10. Sayaplayer just needs a competent team to prop him up to carry the team to the top. Gladiators also should be higher They have good pieces and a good coaching staff to keep them in the top 10. Everything else is mostly the way I you see it. I have one prediction though Philadelphia Fusion pick up Bumper or Tizi at some point in the season to replace Sado. Imagine that combo. But honestly I do think somebody is going to pick up Bumper and Tizi up before this season is over. Bumper is one of the best Main Tanks in the league and any team would pay his asking price if they were offer came to them. Especially a desperate one.
Can't say I would be disappointed if this was how it turned out, but I think that Atlanta has some real potential to be even higher, and I am genuinely scared that the Titans will fall below your rankings. But I am excited by your rank of Toronto! I think that they are gonna have a much MUCH better year...although...hard to have a worse year.
Why do you think the titans will be lower? When we jsut look at the gameplay fissure is an upgrade over bumper and tizi. He he had motivation issues in the past but taking a break should have helped him coming into season 3.

I am so happy that someone agrees with me that Chengdu won't be as good this season. Bless their hearts but they lost Rui and they were lucky to place as well as they did last season.

Paris being this low is just dumb. Their dps are great, FDGod is insane, Hanbin is insane and they have the best/2nd best coaching staff in the league

Fusion: I feel that they are a bit lower, I think that they are closer to 6 as I have a feeling that they collapse in on itself.
OGE is an inconsistent Main Tank. That's the main thing that worries me. He's gotta be able to perform frequently. But, if he isn't consistent, I see #9 being a proper Ranking.
Paris Eternal S3 is the biggest underrated team in OWL history
Washington Justice = 1 very good player (and I'm ok with this ranking) but Eternal = 3 very good players (Hanbin, FDGOD, Soon/Sparkle) but still getting spot 18 (while they got spot 14 last season with a roster below average...), they improved their roster but you think they'll go 4 slots under S2 lol while S3 will include huge homestands in France
Relevant stuff expext for when you speak about the VC and Fissure. If you genuinely believe that, history will prove you wrong
People are underestimating the amount of issues the old LDN squad had. Blowing everything up, getting some great coaches, and scouting some hopefully good young talent will surprise some teams. I think we'll be closer to 10th than 20th.
they wont be that good in s3 but when they replace some of the parts that dont work out for them they can be really scary coming into season 4
KSF has reminded folks he is in fact a flex, he was just shafted to play hitscan due to the Valiant’s needs last season. He’s likely going to start with KSP in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t rate the overall roster highly either, but I trust KSF more than Apply as my starter.
Atlanta still hasn't announced their full roster yet and presumably, Kodak will be come back on alongside another support.
Atlanta below philly is funny. Edison is better than carpe, erster is better than eqo, gator is better than sado, masaa is better than funnyastro. Do you think that alarm and fury are good enough to carry Philly past Atlanta?

Now that Mickie moved to Team Envy to be a content creator, how do you feel about Note currently being the Fuel's only offtank?

I do not think Justice can be comfortably put above Houston or Dallas for that matter. Just...they lack options, severely. Which means they better be pretty damn confident that the meta favors Corey's snipers and Roar is able to carry on main tank.

I'm unconvinced by Florida tbh. I know Yaki and Gandnamjinn are great Korean contenders players, but I have no faith in the org, and not much more in the tank line. Other than that I mostly agree with your rankings tbh. Anyway, here's my rankings

You put the gladiatros that high? I really think their current roster is worse than last years and they didnt do too well last year. SHanghai on the other hand looks really good imo.

Don't u think u underrated Chengdu? I mean they destroyed Spark in Shanghai tournament, and dispite the fact they had a bad off season their dps line looks so deadly, Leave has the potential to be the rookie of the year and Jinmu is a pretty good projectile player, their tank and support line are not something incredible but they are not bad and one big point is that they already have synergy. I think they will have a big advantage over some teams u put over them. Is just my opinion but I think they are a bit better than u rated

Spark literally won the league last year, and had back to back 4-0's after their preliminary loss. I do agree that fusion should be lower, but if you truly believe that shock should be lower at this point in time, you are smoking crack.

I still have heavy doubts on teams like Philly, Washington, Fuel, and Guangzhou. I think Philly and Guangzhou are especially overhyped as personally I don’t think the Charge is better than Chengdu when it comes to talent. The only reason I could even see Chengdu being anywhere 15th to 20th is due to RUI leaving and that possibly having a big impact on the team. Philly is still overrated like last year due to players like Carpe and Alarm. I don’t think they’re bad but they’re way too high. I’d say they’re top 10 but not top 5.
Seeing not even one member of that season 1 championship team not London makes me kinda sad
As a Houston Outlaws fan, I'm very biased, which means I have a more favorable, but also a more negative take. Firstly, my take on them is based on a worst case scenario outcome, a best case scenario outcome, a worst case scenario on paper outcome, and a best case scenario on paper outcome. Worst case scenario, Houston end the Season at around #18, maybe #17 if they're lucky. Best case scenario they end the Season at around #13, just barely missing playoffs. Now comes the on paper section, which is basically the most positive and negative take possible for any team. Worst case scenario on paper, Houston have pieces that won't mesh and the team decays from the inside out, leaving them at a depressing #19 spot (It's not #20 because nobody can be worse than Boston). Next comes the best on paper scenario, which has a little something extra that I feel plays into their chances a lot. On paper, Houston could very easily make #8 or #7, if the players and coaches mesh well, and nobody goes through a slump, this team will do great. However, there's one last part of Houston that nobody, and I mean nobody is talking about, and it's the main reason that I think their potential peak in Season 3 could be at #7. The Houston Outlaws (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am, I've looked at the schedule at least ten times while running on two hours of sleep, so there's no way I could be wrong) only have two out of country matches, that's right, aside from two games at the Paris Eternal Homestand, Houston Outlaws play all of their matches in the United States of America, that is the lowest number of out of country matches that any team in the League has to play, which is insane. Houston will have so many paths to take, they will either be abysmal, or be amazing.
Side notes.
If there's a Widowmaker meta, Corey will carry Washington to at least #7.
Sado still isn't good, no matter what people think, he just isn't good. Philly will probably end the Season much lower than people think, I put them at #8 at least, and #6 at most.
Can we please stop pretending that Dallas will work well with Korean players? I feel like Dallas just has an experimentation room, where they torture their Korean players and try to genetically modify their Western players.
I agree with this list quite a lot actually. I really like your take on Philadelphia and Im so hyped to see them stack up wins this year :D
