This car is the absolute sickest. I met this gentleman at Norwalk and I know the guy who did his cylinder heads in canada. This car is one bad ride. Notice how he leaves at idle and still goes that fast!!!! I would kill to have this car. My father and I are building a bigger Hemi for his roadrunner and always reference this guys setup because it truly is bad ass and we hope that we can come close to this guys ETs!!!!
My Uncle has a 67 Belvedere 1 383 4speed that he bought when he was in high school, he ordered it new back in 1967. He just finished the second restoration first being in the early 80s. 4 year restoration, completed all the work himself in his 2 car garage, car is beautiful!!
I had a sedan version of this in high school with a 383 4-pack in it. It was the mom & pop version of the GTX, but most people had no idea of that. I remember beating the pants off a guy in school who had a 327 Camaro. The unsuspecting schmuck didn't realize what I had.
@@randylear8264 No, there really was a car with a 4-barrel carb that had "4-pack" written on the side. I don't remember what it was now, but where I grew up in Southern Illinois we always used to refer to 4-barrel carbs as a 4-pack.
@@ebookpioneers Just a joke. I watch Nicks Garage and he always has to correct himself when he refers to Plymouths as six packs. Because they are called Six Barrels. Dodges are six packs. And it seems that most folks call the six packs no matter Make. So it was just a little ribbing. 😛
This beast reminds me of this song: Light up the Sky, by Van Halen Oh Yeah, we're all fast breakers comin' outta the gates Takin' chances we're the crash an' burn Yeah, there is a way with beauty but you never gave a love Cross the line where none return Oh, I watch my television Almost lost my mind It said, "Open your eyes leave it all behind" I heard the wind a whisperin' Strong magic comin' on They comin' out for sure Come see your children, yeah They're lightin' up the skies Won't recognize them anymore Wolves at my door, wised up quick Turned here an' gone, from on the go Seems the old folks who come up short Were the pretty little kids who didn't want it, no
That is correct, Ross is a great guy. Unfortunately the car blew a tire going through the traps in 2019 and wrecked. Hopefully he will be back to tear up the 1/4 mile again soon.
LIKE MY DADDY ALWAYS SAID "THERE ARE TWO KINDS OF PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD PEOPLE WHO HAVE A HEMI AND THAN THERES PEOPLE WHO WANT A HEMI.."
Most Definitely I want A
Hemi
Grammar much?

There is nothing like the sound of a idling 426 hemi engine!

I Love that!!
It’s a Plymouth. So that would be 6 barrel. Ah I mean 4 barrel. 😂

Oh
Yeah, we're all fast breakers comin' outta the gates
Takin' chances we're the crash an' burn
Yeah, there is a way with beauty but you never gave a love
Cross the line where none return
Oh, I watch my television
Almost lost my mind
It said, "Open your eyes leave it all behind"
I heard the wind a whisperin'
Strong magic comin' on
They comin' out for sure
Come see your children, yeah
They're lightin' up the skies
Won't recognize them anymore
Wolves at my door, wised up quick
Turned here an' gone, from on the go
