I’m enjoying your videos. But you are the 3rd CZcamsr who uses way more glue than I do and I get few tears, no wrinkles and less mess. I never have an issue with images lifting. One swipe of the glue stick over image is all it takes.
This is EXACTLY the type of video I have been looking for! I just started gluebooking, including a color gluebook. How to choose backgrounds (actually being shown how to place them) was a mystery. Until now! Thank you! I am excited...just subscribed.
Thank you sooo much for letting me know that! I almost second guessed posting this because it seemed so scattered. But I know I struggled for 2years to get started in a gluebook and I looked for a video that started from the beginning that didn’t skip the “boring” stuff but I never found one! I’m so glad this was helpful and I would love to see what you do too! I really had no idea how to choose backgrounds or anything but I just went with what little I knew from doing some mixed media collage backgrounds for my art. And I knew at first I used to small of bits for my backgrounds and it works but it’s more of a struggle to get the backgrounds going. So I decided to broaden my search for larger background pieces in this video. Thank you again! 🥰

Awe that’s so sweet that you have your dads quilt. Now that older I’m lucky if I can stand even a sheet on me at night. I get so hot even with the AC on 69 degrees 🤦🏻♀️🥵😂

Awe thank you so much! I like your idea of the pretties in one and collage in another. And as for making videos…you can do it! Just start recording. Remember you can always erase it 😊😉 lives are a bit more scary lol
I love how you do your backgrounds, me personally I avoid text in my background, for your cherries with blue background I would place on a red page and then add fussy cut images on top. The top sheet I grew up with, to me now I do not have a top sheet as I feel suffocated by it. I would love to see a live, but I live in the uk so it hit and miss with time differences. Currently I'm doing an en masse and colour gluebook. Much love from Ann x

Im a new scribby. I love your videos. I love to do glue books. You are giving me some good ideas. I noticed you were having trouble with smoothing out the images. I use a squigy scrapper that is generally used with smoothing vinyl. They have them at dollar tree. You can also use like a plastic card like a gift card to smooth out the bubbles. Hope this helps.

Hi, I ’ve started a colour glue book too. The hardest part for me is to find bigger pieces for the backgrounds. I have the same problem with collage, getting the background filled up always gives me trouble 😊
Hi and thank you for watching! Yes I really stressed over the backgrounds especially in the beginning. But it’s getting easier for me the more I do it! And I learned that I don’t have to completely fill the backgrounds. Just the area around the other images!

I like the top sheet. It just gives a barrier between you and whatever blanket. I think I keeps me from having to wash a heavier blanket frequently. It comes in the pack of sheets I guess so I just use it. If I had to buy it separately I might not! 🤷🏻♀️ It was just on that page and prompted that conversation. My niece who helps me a lot doesn’t use one and it’s always a debate between her and I. 😂 thanks for watching 🥰

P.s. I use my top sheet , but I took it on top of the fitted. lol. just for extra padding . I just cover up with my dads quilt >

Mostly I have real simple, good housekeeping, southern living, and a few others. Many of them are older magazines.

What is a top sheet? & why do you need one? What purpose does it serve?
I like the top sheet. It just gives a barrier between you and whatever blanket. I think I keeps me from having to wash a heavier blanket frequently.
