Don't stress that's what CZcams is for. I have had hondas with a list too, and it's worse because you can't go to the junkyard and get the part. If I had a dollar for every cracked gas pump housing on those mid 2000 civics. Everyone has a quirk. This car has been super reliable.
Was it the cable to the fuse box to the alternator.??... mine is charging at 13 amp... but it usually run at 14.5 to 15.. also u cant find anything wrong with it.. thanks for tip.. I'll check that first
I Have a question, Put New alternater 0n 2017 traverse charged good little over, 14 volts 3 weeks later started dropping down to About 12.shut off start up.charge good ?
You could've ended up with a faulty alternator. Check all your wiring make sure nothing is loose first. This job is a pain and don't want to do it again for no reason
@jesusspencer4219 the only complaint my wife gave me was that things shut off, ac, radio , etc. So it could be messing with your injectors or computer.
Voltmeter test when it's on if it gives you 14.3~14.5 charge then your alternator is fine. I would check to make sure all wiring is sturdy, in the case of this traverse a light tug and the cable came right off. Then I would consider a parasitic draw. I would start with all those.
i had to replace my alternator a week ago. What a pain!
Bought a 2014 Chevy 2 years ago, after reading the laundry list of issues, wish I did some research before buying.

Thank u
Glad I could help
Did the gauge show 14V whenever the car was running before the "check charging system" light came on?
No idea, it's my wife's car and she only notices when things go south.
What is the part called? That’s exactly what mine did.
"Alternator charging cable" if I'm not mistaken
Did you have any other isues besides it not charging? Mine has the same problem with the wire, and it seems to shake alittle at low speeds
Have you fixed the wire?
@@MrMK211516 not yet i will tomorrow though, i hope that fix is it

I've paid for 2 alternators and a battery in 3 years. It died on the highway yesterday and would not charge. Can you give any advice?

Failed to mention year, make, model, and engine size. Instant thumbs down 👎🏽
