Brilliant film. Have been a fan of Alex Garland since reading The Beach. Sunshine and 28 Days Later were amazing pieces of screenwriting as well. Well done on your directorial debut, Alex!
Ilina Kuriashkina Same when I first saw 28 Days Later...i we his name on the writing credits...been a fan ever since! 💯💯🏁🏁
Dredd was technically his directorial debut he was just uncredited for it
How Alex Garland made his brilliant sci-fi film #ExMachina .
He's a reclusive genius. You can tell from his body language. He certainly has social anxiety, but it also has to do with his neurotic, ingenious personality.
I will not miss this guy's next film,
both Ex Machina & Annihilation were excellent.
I was blown away by both films.
Having what I've seen so far & from listening to him in many videos
about his writing, his films, it's obv this guy's iq is through the roof.
Could you imagine what this guy would do with a bigger budget?
He'll be doing Devs this or next year. Cannot wait for that.
devs was amazing. he just finished shooting his next film ‘Men’, supposed to be a horror film i think
Men was so bad comparing to the rest of his work
Been a fan of his work since 28 Days Later 💯💯💯
He's a brilliant, modest director and writer. His work is incredible.
But, I've seen several interviews with him and only on this one he seems a little edgy.. I wonder why..
Probably the environment. Most of his other interviews have been one-on-one. In this, he's having to face an audience.
His speaking voice reminds me of the late british musician Matthew Jay.
does anyone have a transcript for this?
anxiety fucking sucks. poor guy. i wonder if it ever hits him hard on set
Is it anxiety or it is tourettes or parkinsons¿anyway hes genious
It's been said before, but god damn is he one fidgety mofo - it's insane
+maulCS nerves I think. Big crowd in the room and heavy questions.
Not always, Ive seen several interviews with him, something here is different.
@@orr971 maybe because Ex Machina wasn't out yet and stuff and he was nervous about reactions or something.
Social anxiety?
Better than us...? She killed them. Didn’t have to do that...
Yeah she didn't have to lock dude in to his death.. that was fucked up since he tried to save her..
@@toneohmshe did not have conciseness..thats why .she faked everything ..like psycophat faking empathy ..u cant tell the difference
Alex Garland looks like he is the most fidgety man on the planet
Ooof. Watch Dan Gilroy interviews. :D
Can someone please find an interviewer intelligent enough to have a deep discussion with Alex. This guy is way out of his depth.
fidgety? probably forgot to go to the toilet ...
