"Walk on water". It's from the song Into Despair. When they played that show in Toronto with Miss May I they opened with Into Despair which just set the tone for the whole set. It was killer

i saw currents live in a small venue and they blow my mind live, so good.
I saw them on that tour, and they killed it. All 4 bands were amazing. I want to see Currents on their headline tour, since it would be the 5th time I've seen them within a year and a half.

Currents is the best Metalcore band out there, and it's not even close. Between this and The Death We Seek, they're for sure gearing up to drop a masterpiece.

I feel the Opposite. I LOVE the last single " The Death we Seek" but this song is the FIRST song by them I wasn't instantly In love with! It's growing more on me but my least fav. But I have NO DOUBT this album is gunna be a masterpiece
Best band in the world! I'm obsessed with this band and can't wait dec is gunna be nuts. Dec 12th they releasing a beer and they are having a release event and they will be there and come to find out it's the next city over!!! And then three days later is the concert with Invent animate and Silent Planet ( my top three fav bands!!) And I just heard the album is done and the art work is all set. Then this song releases!! That being said this song is good and growing on me more and more but as of now this song is ny least fav by them. They haven't released any bad song snd it's not bad AT ALL. Just my least fav as of now. Reminds my of this albums " poverty of self" it's thebheaviest song from them since Brian joined!!! Love Currents so much I can't wait foe this album. It'll be my AOTY like every albums of theirs.

Currents are nothing if not consistent. Nothing ground breaking but just a good, solid track.
The first 3 projects (especially the last EP I let the devil in) were amazing. The last album was super butt rock to me. Glad the last two singles picked back up on their old style.

@@jocab564 sorry you feel that way but I’ve been listening to metalcore since late 90’s early 00’s and it was kind of a joke big guy. It was a very blah album with only 2 songs that I cared for and felt very “safe”. Lacking originality to me…hence why I made the joke “butt rock”. 👍🏼
I LOVE Currents, one of my top 5 bands honestly, but I'm disappointed so far. Like the singles are good, but nothing that is absolutely blowing me away. TWIE had so much more variety within each song. Idk, we'll have to wait and see.

I mean this is what, their second single they have released. To me I am loving the sound but I don't think they will ever fully go back to the TWIE sound for a whole album. Even if the singles don't blow me away I don't want to set the expectations that the rest of the album won't be amazing.
For example, I think the new ABR single is below average for them but I still hold out hope the rest of the album will be great.

Currents has a hard time sounding good love. Usually the vocals are too low & everything else is over powering which makes them sound very muddy and muffled.
i prefer the death we seek over this. this felt repetitive. very repetitive. the chorus is dragged out, and the guitars kinda felt lazy in this. it was just chug-chug-chug, but if they wanted it like that, it’s fine. as least the death we seek was more diverse.
