All meat has the risk of containing parasites, and some of the healthiest and leanest meat a person can eat (like a lot of wild game meats) are packed with parasites. But if you cook it to food safe temperatures you cook the parasites and it doesn’t even matter.
I’m mixed, and the African American side of my family often practices in the abstinence of pork. What our friend TI here isn’t telling us is, it’s not uncommon for African American men to convert to Islam when the go to the joint. As a result they are forbidden by their religion to eat pork and they use the whole example he listed as further proof that pigs are “filthy animals”. Which evolves into non religious members of the African American demographic to also abstain from pork because they’re raised or influenced to think it’s some how more grotesque than any other meat. Even though factory farmed cattle stand chest deep in their own feces all day, and factory farmed chicken are basically these abominable mutants that never get to the light of day and break their legs under the weight of their own breasts. So they also, are restricted to a life of filth.

I do agree with you on that. But I don't eat pork, don't use salt or sugar but I do drink alcohol. I think definitely alcohol is given a bad reputation, especially things like light beer and hard liquor like tequila. And like anything else, it's all about portions. Because while a may not put salt on my foods, we still need sodium to live, it's made naturally in our bodies and we all need sugar, which is our glucose to live also. It's all about not over indulging and not using proceeded things. Fruits have sugar in them naturally.
