  • Hey everybody welcome to another Muddy Review, in this video we are covering the EMG / SOCOM Gear Lancer L5 AWM midcap magazines.
    The EMG midcap magazines are licenses Lancer magazines for Airsoft AEGs and are pretty nice magazines overall. I like the over all design of the magazines and the quality of the mock rounds in the magazines.
    I got these from Evike.com in the US and picked them up in the 5 pack and smoke color amd paid 59.00$ USD for the pack. You can find it here:
    www.evike.com/...
    like the real Lancer L5 magazines they come in numerous colors such as smoke, blue, clear, translucent aqua, translucent pink, translucent red, translucent purple, and flat dark earth.
    I like the fact I can see the bbs loading into the magazines and they feed really nicely in all of my my AR style platforms I currently have. if you want a cool AR midcap magazine that has a unique look definitely check out the EMG Lancer mid cap magazines.
    I hope this review was helpful for you and I appreciate all the new subs recently, as always thanks for watching and see you in the next video.

    For example PTW mag, i believe it use real size mag because it sit more deep

    About the magazine length, since airsoft magazines don't insert as far as real ones do; they either have to be physically shorter, and look correct when inserted into the gun. Or be closer to the real length and stick out too far.

      I don't know if that is the case, real magazines still have a bolt carrier group around the same area as the hop-up and the gear box so I don't think that's too much an issue.

      It is. It’s not super noticeable just looking at the magazines. But if you compare the cutout on the magazine for the mag catch, and the top of the mag, you’ll see that aeg mags have about 1” of material above the cutout, and AR mags have 2” of material above it. (I made those numbers up for the example)

      I use krytac magazines as thay don't disappear in some pouches and easy to grab :) were all my old mags are small and get stuck in some chest rigs or pouches

    It's because regular ar style aeg with regular v2 gearbox will look strange with "real size" mag, TM NGRS mag sit more deep because of the design

    • @Muddy_Reviews
      @Muddy_Reviews  Před 6 měsíci

      I can see that, but I would rather have my mag sit a little longer in the AEG and fill my magazine pouch better personally. I run 1:1 sized magazines in most of my AEGs when possible and they look fine but I can definitely see what you are saying.

      @@Muddy_Reviews copy that, it's personal preference, I have opposite preference, because I can easily made some kind of spacer from cardboard and duct tape for bottom of the magpouch.

      @Muddy_Reviews  Před 6 měsíci

      I don't disagree on the spacers, I do that as well.

      @@Muddy_Reviews copy that, it's nice to have AR aeg that use real size mag like TM recoil shock or PTW, but they are to expensive for me, not mention upgrade parts, it's rare in my country.

    I got this mag from my local field's lost and found after no one claimed it for over a year. It was so covered in dirt I thought it was an AUG mag lmao but I restored it.
    Probably my fav mag because of the reliable feeding transparent view of the bbs. In depth review!

      Thanks man! That's absolutely one of my favorite features as well is being able to see the bbs when I load and as I use the magazines. They really do feed quite reliably.

    In bought 5 and i found all have soft bb tensioner on the top. Which very fast damaged by feeding tube. :( This is only mag that happened to me ;(

    Hi, I was wondering if you could link the 300 AAC inserts maybe? They should be avaiable by now right? Thanks!

    Great review. Just ordered myself a MCX and was looking at these mags cause they just look great. Also helps that a box of 5 costs about the same as 2 EPM1 mags. Really helpful, thanks a lot.

      No problem I sincerely hope you have less issues than the majority of.us with the MCX. These mags really are awesome. I'm probably getting another box sooner than later. As for the MCX definitely recommend the small upgrades from laulax.

    can you use these without the fake bullets?

    • @Muddy_Reviews
      @Muddy_Reviews  Před rokem +1

      Absolutely, the fake bullets are just a cosmetic plastic insert that can easily be removed. I show in my video how to remove them and if you were to put the magazines back together it would work fine.
