This was a rough scene to get through. He almost left his mum on her deathbed.

David was going to run but Carol convinced him to come back and make him see sense and make peace with Pat before she died ❤❤😭😭😭
Bring back David. He had some lovely scenes with tiffany butcher years ago

I was so glad that they brought her back in Eastenders four years later in 2016 when she appeared as a ghost. Her reappearance brought tears to my eyes

Im starting to wonder now after all these years when pat held her chest did she have a heart attack and that what killed her
Where was David's dad? The mother gets all the blame. She could have been a better mother and was a good stepmother. Always thought it was cruel how David treated her but it was his experience. He had a right to it. Pat was badass and had regrets on her deathbed. Sometimes people saw things differently when dying
David’s dad died, his name was Pete Beale, therefore making him the half brother of Ian Beale. His half brother Simon Wicks was apparently the son of Brian Wicks, however Pat was romancing Pete, Kenny Beale and Brian Wicks so no one would know who Simon’s real father is. If it was Pete, then I think it would be funny that Cindy Williams has gone for all of the Beale children and David’s brother Simon.
If I was David, I would have left with much less hesitation!
How did she die
She had terminal pancreatic cancer

@@TheWiseCollector I'm not fully sure but it's another form of cancer which this one is in the pancreas near the stomach and when Pat was diagnosed it was at the point where it was too far advanced to treat and stop her from dying
