Seems to me you don’t know much about the character’s. Derek’s sister Carol is Bianca mother and Bianca is Pat’s favourite granddaughter. Derek had problems with Pat’s son David he never approved of his Sister’s relationship with him never accepted it. Back in the 90’s they had arguments and even fights the show has always portrayed a feud between the two men.
@@Native2015 Yeah, but Derek was always depicted as being a black sheep among the Brannings!!!! There were times when he loudly declared himself the head of the family, but his younger brothers, Jack and Max were clearly having none of it as they watched him die of a heart attack after throwing him out of their house!!!!! And in this scene, Tanya and Max seemed to be among the designated carers for Pat, and you would've thought Tanya would've had her reservations about Derek buzzing around Pat here, if only because of how Max didn't really seem to think very much of Derek during this last year of Derek's life!!!
Derek was cool but I always thought this scene was really unnecessary and really stupid, Pat was a long running iconic character, she shouldn't of been tormented on her death bed, in her final episode, let the character go out with some respect, I love that her and Janine made up, but this, ehh.

I was literally thinking about this episode before I saw your video.
