Berget has a twin brother :Alvin. Alvin is Trijntje's partner.( he's the guy on guitar at the start standing next to Trijntje.) Trijntje has a brother: Tjeerd he's a music producer and he's married to Edsilia! Can you imagine birthday partys or bbqs in that family? Trijntje and Tjeerd started as a duo: Total Touch. Fun fact. The guitar player in the beginning of this clip is the husband of Trijntje Oosterhuis en the brother of Bergit Lewis. And Trijntje her brother married Edsilia. So literally one big family.
They give a new concert every year. So every year it has to be innovative and even more spectacular. and every year it is. Now with the corona we haven't had a concert from them of course. but the next one that can come now will be really great

I also think it's awesome they don't just have singers in Ladies of Soul, because the Netherlands has an amazing saxophone player named Candy Dulfer and she is a part of them as well. The first song that made her go big was with Dave Stewart and was called Lily was here, which was released in 1989 there's some great live versions out there.

We are a small country, but we gave life to New York (New Amsterdam), Did you know you speak also Dutch in your language? Like Cookie, Colesaw and Stoop. (a few words, there are more very typical Dutch words in Americans-English, also because England and The Netherlands being neighbors, I suspected that 5% of English language is Dutch. (The 5% is no knowledge). We did give the Americans "The Dollar", it's from the Dutch currency "De Daalder". The senate is still vote with Yea & Nay (Ja & Nee) from the Dutch. And Yankees was a English swear word to the Dutch, because the English were our favorite enemy, The call the Dutch "Yankees", because mostly men in that period was listened to the nam "Jan or Kees". The English did hate the Dutch very much. We were the mouse and they the elephant, and the mouse took al lot of cheese, and Cheese was the elephants favorite dinner.
