@@jewulo syncopated is the part when your foot is in the air when tapping to the beat
@@jewulo sychopated means to play/emphasise non-strong pulses e.g. (within most popular western music) not playing on 1, 2, 3, or 4(the pulse you can most easily tap your foot to).
To then play/sing a different melody on top of that would mean playing/singing another rhythmic pattern/set of notes that plays independently from the other one already established.
@@jewulo basically rubbing your tummy and patting your head with different hands, but with singing and playing music. Two different ideas at different beats and rhythms. Very hard to the average folk.

@@KTBFFH Yes, the bass is always important in a 3-piece band. But in this band, the bass line REALLY drives most of the songs. Gave me a new appreciation for Laura :)

The song must be in a different tuning, OR it must be in a different tuning because as much as I can see the chords I can't find the pitch, and as far as I can see the first chord is on the seventh fret, or am I wrong?
Try C#m7 and F#m7 at the ninth fret. The chord you see at the 7th fret is B.
