I agree, hearing Médée in French gives the opera a different "flavor" or "color" perhaps. Personally, I would be interested in hearing it as the original opéra-Comique with spoken dialogue.
@@danawinsor1380 You might be interested in this 1995 recording with Iano Tamar and Luca Lombardo, conducted by Patrick Fournillier: Nuova Era 7253/54 ISBN 8010984172534. It is the original French version w/ dialogue in a pretty good performance. It's O/P, of course, but look for a used set. Good luck! BTW, there was another 'original' set w/ Phyllis Treigle but in a barely passable performance. Avoid.
