Been playing borderlands for years, but I still don't understand stacking and how to actually read the weapons stats....and help. Treat me as day one I don't mind. Help me to get better. BTW 65s y/o.
Basically you enchant a weapon to give plus 30% spell damage on reload and that’s just one weapon stacking is where you get that enchantment on multiple guns also your Melee weapons enchantment adds to the stack you can stack whatever you want you just need everything to be giving damage in the same area
@@Kardindustries I watched another video that said enchants don’t stack and not to use the same one on different gear. This was wrong?
@@JackAustin613 I believe what you said is true, but there is other enchantments that buff spell damage and other stats
Weapon stats are just looking at what’s better than what your using/preference. Base weapon stats are what are on the card so make sure at least damage and fire rate are better for better weapons. That’s it for weapon cards, the enchantment system are just bonus buffs you can add. Meanwhile stacking is a bit more complicated, for certain skill you can have multiple of at a time, ex: faithful thralls: extra stack for each companion. Or anarchy from borderlands 2 Gaige. You stack these buffs for more dmg in a certain area. In wonderlands I’m going for melee build so rings got bonus melee and armor mod and shield and skills, it’s still not one shooting bosses :(. But that’s because my scaling is bad, different story
@@mrtony1181 base stats are definitely _not_ all that matters on the weapon card. and "stacks" on skills aren't the same as "stacking".

You know it! I was going between a fire and non elmntal version, then the cryo pixie dropped.. haven't looked back.

your build was easy to understand
If leaderboards work, im ranked top 2 on chaos 20. Im a companion build but it centralizes on getting hydras, keeping them alive with head of the snake mod, then swapping to pixies, 3 limit, and hitting crits to increase damage. Plus frenzied wrath necklace and you melt everything quickly.
I've been using this gun! I had a cryo one but my world glitched when I showed it to a friend and it fell through the ground.
I was thinking about doing a stabbo spellshot build but build more into stabbo. I'm not sure if this will work but I'll go to the ethereal blade which procs off of gun and spell crits so I'm wondering if the pixies can proc it and then run from the shadows to just get it to proc more often and use the fire rate capstones to see if that increases the pixies fire rate.
Btw the fearnot does drop with dark magic damage however I’ve yet seen a dark magic pixie one
im pretty sure i had one during levelling so theres that
6:22 you get fire damage on top of every damage you deal, it does work
This adds a layer in Deadshot builds for sever the thread where the pixies hit gun crits while dealing magic damage procing the stt and refreshing your spells more consistently
Pixies don't count as companions so faithful thralls doesn't proc

i feel like clawbringer and sporewarden combo could dip into companion damage way more but i dunno

I actually use this build and any fairy companion gun is great for this build. The dimi Lich bug with the chaos chamber is great for quick kills, but takes a very long time to add the stacks. Is there a way of adding stacks without the interaction with the loot portal?
ive been loving my crit, gun dmg companion build ever since i could get stabomancer as my second class. super fun, but the ammo depletion is shameful lol
Last Gasp shield + mage armor and low cooldown spells can help with keeping your ammo up
I’ve been abusing the Harvest bug with pixies and it’s crazy good but the ramp up sucks. This build might be the answer after harvest bug goes away.
The pixies may doesnt count for faithful thralls, but they are so worth it...if you focussed more on faithful thralls you should look out for a specific spell that spawns 2 hydras 3 times if you hold the trigger, this way you can summon 6 hydras at once + all kill skills get activated so one extra dark hydra + your lich and the shroom boi, so thralls is at 9 instantly...then throw the pixies, lean back and enjoy the show xD there is also a legy armor that lenghtens the hydra time after every kill, works fine 👌 oh and of course you should look out for armor skill boost on thralls

Im using these type of guns but i will say they seem to scale off gun and spell damage and take all boost to all the damage they use ie: a graveborn and brrzerker on a cold pixie gun will take the gun companion dark damage and shoot two peojectiles one ice and one dark, way op and thats before using your action skill if you use your action skill with enchants that boost said stats you can do EVEN MORE DAMAGE!
idk if you found out from other sources but for me i happened across a fearnot of the smith feriore that rolled dark magic but it was a bouncing gun so i do believe it can roll as pixie/hydra potentially. just have to get lucky.
btw they can be hydras too. might not be as good as pixies since they dont fly but they still should be pretty good
Been running a spellborne with pixies for a while. I’m getting 100k Crits on them (depending on enemies damage mitigation to certain elements), but it’s been a blast to run! Y’all will enjoy it
I love how the pixies also fly through walls. You don't have to have any aim at all. :P
Thank you for going in depth on these, I've been trying to figure out exactly what they scale off for a while. Been using a Chaotic Fearnot with X2 projectiles and multi-head Hydra since Chaos 15 in the first week, 3 of them can pretty much solo a Chaos 20 boss if I just sit and proc my enchants every few seconds by firing off my Arc Torrents.
Out of curiosity, have you tested to see if they proc Blast Gasp since they scale off magic damage?
They do proc blast gasp but the damage seems to be pretty minor for whatever reason. Going to do some testing to see if I can abuse that, but for now it doesn't seem too strong
@@NickTew interesting, I will have try to do some testing because I run a Warped Paradigm spellcaster build and occasionally I'm seeing burst of crits around 10-15k but one crit will be 40-50k and I'm wondering if it's getting the Paradigm bonus applied. I'll do some tests tomorrow.
Ive been running this for about a week now...was using hydras and winged guns by tried a pixie shotgun and it started shittin stuff. I've hit 9m with a pixie before.
The only thing I didn't like about my pet build was I couldn't kill bosses very fast
Don't think that no one has been using this. It's pretty much the only gun I've been using. Running a graveborn/spellshot and I used this with both my companion build and spell build.
why is nobody talking about the sootcough? its a purple crossbolt weapon that can drop with stacking crossbolt damage but shoots x5 its insanely good

The Ferior guns that look like guns scale off gun damage. The ones that look like crossbows scale off spell damage. That is why the gun variant doesn't work the same way.
FYI, DM variants of this do exist. I got one earlier from a pistol bunny in the chaos chambers, and it’s just as strong as you would imagine. The graveborn skills that increase your DM damage add another double dipping modifier on to Blast Gasp (now that it procs in DM) and they do significantly more dps than cryo which i was previously using. I’ve asked around in discord’s and the reddit and it seems like nobody else has ever come across one so i could be the only person with one? Considering i have 5 days played with probably 80% of my chaos rolls being pistols and i’m just now seeing this, it leads me to believe that it’s not supposed to drop in the first place. No idea if there was a stealth change in the chaos bunny loot tables, but it is 100% possible to get these atleast for now
I've spent like 300,000 crystals on pistols trying to get it, I won't believe that it exists until I see it myself :P
@@NickTew very understandable, just figured i’d let you know. i had to get a friend to datamine around in the loot pools just to convince me to farm for it again lol. a fearnot pistol with the hydra arcanism, and laser sight barrel (converts the ground hydra into a pixie) is a combination thats coded to spawn in all elements, hope your grind pays off soon!
@@NickTew Could also get the class mod which converts all companion damage to dark magic damage. Then it doesnt really matter which element your gun is, you just need maybe a volatile fearnot for some extra damage. The class mod will also increase dark magic damage taken by enemies which was damaged by your companions so thats also extra scaling.

Graveborn I have been looking for stuff that generate companions to self nuke things
I use these in my build. I use two of these, one ice one fire based along with two hydra guns. I have a haunting hydra spell that slaps warden/graveborn class. I have solo 1st place chaos 20 with this build ,at 7 mins 15 secs.
Are you abusing the companion bug that infinitely stacks?
@@maximus8610 no, I stack companion dmg and spell dmg. With a constant 2 stack I can get up to 9 stack with a 18% bonus per stack. That’s not including the 40% bonus from the warden tree. I have 100% companion damage on my neck and 100% dmg on my shield 2 rings with 15% each and the both double in dmg when my health is above 50%. I have 50% companion while action skill is active on my main pixie gun, on my sword I have on action skill star increase spell damage by 40% and I have on my shield increase elemental damage while action skill is active by 35% and I have every gun slot filled with different enchantments because I rotate weapons depending on what I’m fighting.
As far as the first place in solo, it seems that the ranking is per map, or maybe per boss. Because I have gotten close to that same time on a different run and I was top 5.
@@maximus8610 I can get my stacks higher if I change to my sigil spell that give’s me +4 hydras but I prefer the Haunted hydra spell because it’s a pixie hydra and benefits from spell and companion damage. It’s good for bossing with high burst dmg.
@@SimPoolman if your using faithful thralls which you probably are you’re getting extra damage cause that will infinitely stack off of your mushroom companion
@@maximus8610 that only occurs when leaving a chaos trial and returning. They do not infinitely stack while running in the chaos chambers. If you complete a chaos chamber and then run another one you will be at three stacks and if you complete that again you’ll be at four, etc, etc. I know all about the bug.

You didnt mention the best one the blood shot shotgun that shoots multiple pellets in my build im hitting for +130k and it carried me through chaos 20 with zero work
Hey Nick i found the best XP farm for zomboss but at the cost of a little bit of gold i cant make a vid on it so if you could that we be great
-all you have to do it once you hit the check point above the fighting spot kill zomboss then at any time kill your self and you will respawn and you can farm zomboss again and again
- and it works solo and co-op idk if this farm exists already but i found this when farming =]

Hey nick, just found a weapon that i have never seen before i dont know if you have but its a legendary borea's breath of the magicia, its a smg that has 97x4 cryo. it appears to be very similiar to he spriggans and nightshade, i only have the one but this when thrown bounces untill impact with enemy and a ice spike apears. idk if its worth to replace the godly cryo smg's
Pretty sure this is Ribula’s (first boss in the Snoring Valley) dedicated drop. I personally like the x4 cryo SMGs better, but to each their own.
Do the other versions of Feriore weapons (guns with wings, hydras, etc.) also scale off of spell and companion damage?
Only hydras, but they aren't functionally as good. Guns with wings only work with gun damage so they're rather bad

@@NickTew Not as functional damage wise, but have an added function of spitting up ammo when they idle for long enough. I swap between pistol 3-headed hydras and shotgun hydras to keep my ammo spamming in check. I think the best is a balance between both. Pixies when damage is priority and hydra when reduced ammo use is priority.

They’re a non legendary weapon so they will be randomly dropped. I got mine out of a vending machine. You can save quit and find one in there easily
Blast gasp is actually a lot better than it seems because the explosions double dip global damage multipliers such as faithful thralls or cursed wit. By using a warped paradigm to convert spell damage into ability damage, you can scale the damage up to an absurd amount even with abusing the harvest bug.

@@flute136 You are probably instakilling bosses with Harvest :P Just think about what sort of damage numbers you'd expect to see, even WITH double dipping on global damage increases.

One big flaw I see with this whole set up is yes the guns are good yes their damage stacking is great but once again it’s another bug that causes the damage to be so big there is a decent amount of damage prior to the bug but yet again it’s just an exploit of the games faultiness at the current moment once this bug gets fixed in it can’t stack going through a portal this is not as strong as it claims to be

There is a piece of gear (class mod) that converts all companion damage into dark magic and enemies take 20% more dark magic damage. So the weapons you use don't matter I use it, running chaos 20 in about 6mins
Not really because you'd ideally use a different class item to increase your damage such as a smart armor

Hey one thing to try out, I saw GRINN testing this out with pixies. Gun damage doesn’t work however fire rate % seems to actually affect them. So try spellshot fire rate skill and test it out.
I’m certain fire rate works cause when he would proc the fire rate effect on his gear you could see the individual pixies start shooting a lot faster. I watched one specifically just to make sure I wasn’t seeing all of them shooting and the one I watched started shooting a lot faster

I'm noticing a trend here.. One person playing TTW works out an interaction between mechanics and then several other CZcamsrs all jump on board and make videos about it XD
It should also be known that when you exploit the glitch that allows you to scale how many companions you have, to over 30, it really doesn't matter what gun you're using.
I love the implication that I didn't figure this out myself a week ago and instead needed to steal the incredibly easy to test obvious gameplay interaction from "other CZcamsrs"

Honestly, I thought you were talking about Nick as well. You should clarify if you're going to post something like this. If I didn't know better, I would have had the wrong impression of the guy.
"Nobody" is a gross exaggeration. I use epic Feriore guns almost exclusively with my GraveWarden and SporeShot builds. Mark my words: we will absolutely see legendary versions of those guns and all their reload options (especially hydra and pixie) in future updates.

No, Only pixie's on fearnot pistols, magic shotguns and Fragmented Rain SMG get spell/companion. Everything else gets gun/companion

The gameplay was from an unrelated video discussing bugs, which is already on my channel :)
Also 30 stacks is only 270% damage. If my base damage is like 10,000 a 270% increase isn't too significant. The clip is representative of a more impactful interaction (being harvest) and discussing that is the main purpose of this video
Also was being lazy and don't have much other gameplay of me using these since my build with them is still WiP

Wish I could find a pixie version lol I seem to only get the fucking hydras, they aren’t terrible but it’s not nearly as good as the pixies.

Anyone can give me a hint how to farm moon orbs better? :/ Im in early game of Chaos level 4 but some rerolls needed to get my gun damage up :P
