Terrific story, and very applicable to today! So many men and women----but especially women----let their jobs take over their lives, thinking that monetary success guarantees a happy life. Tragically, it almost never does. This story was especially sad, because after having just received a small amount of caring and attention from a complete stranger, she realized just how empty her life was. What is doubly tragic is that she chose to end her life, rather than take measures to change it for the better. One should never become fanatical about anything: a job, a political stance, a lover, a cause, anything. It takes over your life and leaves nothing left for you. A great story, I could really imagine a detective getting a case like this. The narrator has a terrific voice, a great tonality, easy to listen to and understand. Altogether excellent!

Its funny, when you use the same voice for each story it makes it sound like one guy with really bad luck working different jobs.

She'd never been happy before in her life, and the narrator was the one person who managed to make her happy. So she wanted to die happy before that feeling went away.
