I'm just getting into the idea of a pedalboard for my keys. I finally built one ... which I'm going to take apart and rebuild! This video really helped orient me, thanks!

Hello Azalea, great to hear that. I also just started implementing pedals with keys and every instrument I can get my hands on😁. It is tons of fun 👏🏼When I get a chance I will be checking your videos out to see how you implement the pedals with your keys. Cheers from California 😊

Great video, ive been thinking on making a synth pedalboard for a while now and this was super useful. I hadnt even thought of putting DIs on there for example.

Spider of Pnyx putting the DI’s and power supply underneath is a huge space saver. Best to build up.

Thanks so much for posting i was running my Direct Box after the Mackie 8 sub mixer so now I know run each key oars through a Direct box..can I run 2 separate keyboards into my direct box or do I need 1 for each and come out of both the Left and Right outs or can I come out of L mono?

Lots of good points here and I really love the design of the diy pedal board, but you don't actually have to worry about crossing pedal power over the signal wire -especially if you're using an isolated power supply. The big issue with power and noise is making sure your pedal power brick is not incredibly close to any pedals. The emf from the toroidal transformers will likely be more of a noise issues than any wire cross over.

I purchased a pedaltrain classic Jr and found it still too high for my sustain pedals. Did you put your sustain pedals on yours?
