The Tansy Beetle is one of the UK's rarest insects. Like many insects around the world it depends on one host plant for food. If the plant disappears, so does the beetle. But this is a positive conservation story, showing how hard work in the name of the natural world can really pay off!

I'm a beetle keeper myself and was raised around York. I'm tempted to take on this breed to increase their numbers in captivity and eventually release them into the wild!
