- This week we wanted to show you a bit more about how we cook on our narrowboat. We get lots of questions about the AGA stove (mostly, Is that really an AGA on a narrowboat?) and thought we’d take some time to show you how we use it. The AGA (actually a Sandyford) really is the heart of the boat and now that we’re used to it we wouldn’t ever change it. It heats all of our hot water, turns out the perfect loaf and keeps us warm in the winter (and Spring and autumn ;-)) Join us for a drizzly day on board narrowboat Zero!

For those of you just joining us, welcome! We're Vic and Jo and we've been narrowboating around the UK for the last few years on our 54ft narrowboat Zero. Last year we decided to give up our jobs in the city and add another boat to our fleet in hope of turning it into a travelling cafe and becoming full time boating baristas.

Nothing can make you look hard Vick. Yes it’s me. Still binging your old videos. Trying to catch up. I’m so happy for you guys having a baby it’s not an easy thing to do. I was never blessed to have my own child, the traditional way.😊 we adopted, and we got a great kid. He’s 27 now and he’s such a great man, responsible, reliable, works hard, and honesty, which is very important and a bloke. So you got me talking like you guys, and I’m from the USA. But I love to hear you guys talk, and speak proper English. Have a great week. I’ll still be watching. Trying to catch up and leaving messages here and there. Congratulations again on your new baby. It’s amazing how young, happy-go-lucky and expressive Vic turned into our embarrassing dad on home video Vic in a week.

Omg, it's been a long time for me to have home made bread, 10 minutes out of the oven and mom would slice off a 1 inch slice and put homemade butter on it. It would melt immediately and the taste, I believe it's a taste of heaven....

Absolutely love following your journey and congratulations on the impending new arrival. As a fellow male of some years old, I feel it my duty to point out to Victor that commenting on the oops moment during the haircut that was being conducted by the expectant mother of your child the importance of understanding the very fine line that sits between bravery and stupidity especially when she has a pair of scissors in her hand! I feel sure that you understand my concern for you :)

The highlights, Jo's broth and bread. Only had lunch a couple of hours ago, but my mouth was dribbling for more. Vic's got Holly sorted by the sound of it, and dont worry about your hair cut, my darling wife cuts mine, and I'm down to about 10% of what I started with. Jo, you are glowing, and Vic is matching you every step of the way by the look of it. Professionals at their job, you'll be selling tote bags to the other side of the world soon. I fully understand your love of the aga. I first lived with a coal fired Rayburn ( it was my job to riddle it, clear it out and re- light the fire. The ashes were chucked down the garden steps in the snow of 1962/3 winter. When the Rayburn died, we had a gas fired Aga to replace. I lived with that Aga for 34 years. It got serviced once every two years. Marvellous, it must count as part of the ballast? as they weigh a ton. I remember watching ours being built on site. Tried to order a tote bag but you are OUT OF STOCK😅👍👏👌🏽

Hi guys, lovely catch-up vlog. Jo, you are looking quite the resplendent Mum-to-be. Sorry to hear about the upchucking but for some Mums that is what it is. Hopefully, there are some natural remedies that can be safe and tummy-settling. I am sure some of the friends on here will be able to advise you on that stuff.
Just love those bags, what a great idea. Postage Downunder would kill the idea but they do look a really nice bag.
That haircut... probably as good as my old Dad used to do. As the local Barber for so many years, he once put out a sign saying that he "couldn't cut hair any longer". He was inundated with callers wanting to know what the problem was. He would patiently explain to them that nothing was wrong, he could cut the hair shorter, he just couldn't cut it longer! Not sure if it was such a good marketing ploy but it got their attention LOL.
He used to say that the difference between a good haircut and a not-so-good haircut was about a week. So let's have a check-up in a week and see how it looks ;)

that's a nice loaf of bread. I started baking a few years ago and had mixed results. then I came across "Baking with Jack" on YT and started to knead and shape as per his instructions, now I get a beautiful loaf. be safe, have fun.

We go to Curborough quite a lot as its local and a couple of friends have got shops there, ones a jewellers and the others an interiors shop. Great cafe there as well.....as well as Fradley Junction canalside cafe and pub which is literally a couple of miles away from there

I always enjoy looking over your shoulders, as it were, when you're shopping. My brain is feverishly calculating the prices as you go. Right now, the exchange rate is favourable to buy English cheese in Canada, so I'm enjoying a grilled cheese sandwich as I watch.

There was a radio playing very low in the background. It never made it passed the CZcams. I ended doing exactly you Vic Did. Muted the original track and added non copyright music.
