Yeah, whenever I fire I always add a little bit more lead than initially thought. Works almost every time.

I like how you describe all encounters with every other 7.0 or 7.3 with essentially "unless he is a mayor brainlet, you die". Almost feels like the 262 A1s need a downtier.
Well, I sometimes wish this game had "unrealistic loadouts" so we could switch from 4 MK108s to 4 MG151s, it would still suck, but at least the gunnery wouldn't be so difficult.

@@kingghidorah8106 Well, yeah, but you can't fix 500m/s muzzle velocity of MK108. IRL it wasn't such an issue, because bombers were a main target, a much slower, straight flying, way bigger objects, where MK108s high ROF allowed to land as many hits as necessary and easily correct any vertical aiming mistakes, and most fighter kills were vs unsuspecting pilots where again - minimal deflection was required.
In WT bombers can be most of the time ignored, and fighters are usually pulling extremely high Gs, because they have 3rd person view, no blind spots and long-range spotting system at their disposal.
This results in Me-262s armanent being simply horrible for the job.
That feeling when this and Su-11 are on the same BR :(
Yeah some vehicles just deserve better.
I actually think Su-11 on 7.0 somehow helped these early 262 as they get uptiered much more rarely than before and not a lot of people know how to play 11s properly to use it's advantages against the 262. I mean it's not perfect but since they added Su-11 I'm having a blast flying Jabo and A1-a.

The jabo is one of my favorite planes overall it's just depressing when your team crumbles and you're the last one left against 6+ people consistently

Haha that actually happened to me. Our team: 90% jets, enemy 90% props. After 6 min I was the only one alive. I tried to go back to the airfield and mostly had to run away from some props chasing me. Not sure what happened to the rest but the game ended with two guys chasing me getting killed by our airfield AA and I ended the game with zero RP gain and 10k SL because of orders. I still had 0 points on the score board 😅😅

there are maps that are about 15km wide, f84s simply come in 30 seconds and strafe jets that are taking off at that br.

I wish they had given the F-84B an interceptor spawn. That would make a lot more sense than an attacker spawn, I mean "sTrIkE aIrCrAfT" spawn.

With the BRs being so compressed right now, the thought of flying a completely stock Me 262 doesn't seem like fun. However I do like the idea of a bomber variant in the tech tree for use in Tank RB.
i really like the imperfect gameplay it gives you more realistic expectations than if you talked about how bad the plane is for 15 minute while getting a 10kill game in the background

With this plane, just like every props : climb first and get a energy advantage. Never stay low because, no matter what you are flying, you will become a sitting duck.

I dunno why but whenever a jet passes me by and shoots, an image just manifests inside my mind where that plane is on the toilet just shidding and farding.

For the 30mm I prefer stealth bealts because when you learn the lead on the guns you surprise everyone in a head on just because they don't expect you to fire.

That's funny. I have had a lot of carriers in the jabo. I've been using stealth and climbing at 10 degrees across the map. I think the jabo is getting more down/mid teirs than it was when you played it. You are a much better pilot than me so I would recommend trying it again.

Its such a shame because I like the way the ME 262's play especially the schwalbe and the jabo. Its just frustrating that quite a few jets outperform you on every area

i just got this thing and it's fun, the guns are great, the performance is ok and the best part is that unlike some other german jets at 6.0-7.0 it ISN'T just an inferior Ta-152!

If you ABSOLUTELY have to do a hammerhead, set your throttle to idle
The reason why 262 starts spinning is the vector of thrust sitting below the center of mass. In layman terms, the engines introduce pitching up torque when they are running. You can easily control it if your control surfaces have sufficient airflow, but they are ineffective at extremely slow speeds, hence the spin. But if you set the throttle to idle in time, this pitching momentum will disappear and you won't spin even at low speed
These engines don't produce a lot of thrust at slow speeds anyway, so you won't lose a lot of energy.
And a fun fact: a real 262 pilot probably had to throttle down too. Not only it could spin, just like in WT, but it could also lose both engines since these engines were prone to compressor stalls and flameouts. Good luck restarting these things in the middle of a fight :D
I’m not sure that would have been possible for a real 262 pilot, as he would have to begin slowly throttling down long in advance to avoid a flameout.

I prefer the Kikka to the 262 in air battles. It's not very maneuverable, but it has excellent climb and acceleration compared to most, able to keep up with props, and the guns are just magical when they hit(Very little ammo with them, but they're pretty easy to aim, imo.) It's like a Bf-109 of jets.
I do like the 262's for ground battles, though. Pretty good anti-CAS platforms with a balance of speed and maneuverability, and enough pull to make decent CAS platforms for bombing without slamming into the ground. Nearly have an Ace crew on my a2a just from playing it in ground battles.

It also has excellent armanent, but it just gets outperformed even more, so overal it's still pain, but at least good for CAS, I prefer double 250kg bomb drop from SU-11 though.
No cap i almost manGed to get a carry with the me262-a1 some days ago. Got 4 kills and got 2 killed to our airfield aa leaving just one remaining enemy player. Granted it was like a 6.7-7.3 match. Traded with second last guy in a head on since i could not dogfight two peeps at the same time10.
Defyn i know that im kevel 25 but there is a hint from me .... dont spray as much beacuse when u fire short bursts u feel liks u carry 1000 ammo not 240 ;)
Edit:lol i swiched to wrong video i ment the a1/u1 variant sometimes when u think u could get it better not go for it these guns are like Shvacks the start beaing accurate at around 20 meters so patience and u shall be fine with a1/u1 spraying is only ok when u are 100% sure that u will hit the target

Probably one of the jets I have the most fond memories of. Those 4 MK108 are such a breeze if you've only flown American jets equiped with 50 cals. Such a breeze is probably the wrong word, because they hit more like a baseball bat or a sledgehammer.
Only if the enemy is blind. They are so easy to dodge even if enemy in his me262 is like 400-500m behind you.

This is how it is with all German planes - Smallest amount of .50s and there goes your wing root. That's why I don't fly them as much. German damage model. Compare it to American - P51H can fly without a wing...
Btw I figured that 262s like to climb around 300-350kmph IAS regardless of being jet. Airframe is made with props in mind so...
The 262 gets the best climb rate at 500kph+ at 10 degrees, do not climb it like a prop.
@@southernbear736 I know all that but it works for me. Try it. I just look at the climb indicator in cockpit view and this is how I get the best results. You climb at the same rate but you barely loose IAS. You get those 20m/s that are shown in the statcard
Don't feel bad I accidentally killed a teammate today while lining up a 300 meter high speed shot with an SK60. Poor teammate was doing the same and never saw it coming.

I thought the constant critical hits with ADEN/DEFA were funny but nothing beats critical hits with 4x MK 108.
Managed to spade it in ~35 battles with a decently positive KD and a little bit under 70% WR, I have seen worse
