Wow! Those Roosters are gorgeous!😉
Thanks for sharing, had a great time! Liz, I'd say fight the coffee... but I know I wouldn't/couldn't. Brian, got to admit I cringed when you put in, but your comment about sand was so dead on. I do prefer gravel to sand but still lift the boat, even my fiberglass tub. Sunrise was beautiful, thanks for that. You guys look rested, hope you are still enjoying yourselves.
What a cool trip! Thanks for sharing. Another argument for going barbless in a remote and/or foreign place is if you hook yourself most likely the hook can be removed without a trip to the emergency room.
Looks like great fun. Thank you for the video.
Spectacular!
When I see you pulling the loaded canoe over the rocks in the morning, I understand the "testing" aspect of you Baja vacation ;) Anyway, great video as always!
"Caught a barracuda for a minute there" sure, sure you did. Love the mid flight pre flight checks.
I caught a tiger muskie in my kayak. Thing dragged me half way around the lake.
Sand is also coarse and rough.
What is your backup plan if something were to go wrong?
Of course it won't go wrong, but what are you ready with, just in case.
They’re wearing PFDs, they have two inflatable chambers attached to the boat so they can almost certainly get it back upright, and they have many different devices to bail, they have a spare paddle, worst case they can abandon ship and swim to shore. They are well prepared for anything that may go wrong
I feel like 95% of any safety plan should just be to avoid doing stupid things in the first place. So we choose our conditions very carefully. The boat is self rescueable, but I’m not sure how much that matters because as I’ve always said in kayak rescue, any state that is strong enough to force you from your boat will just continue to force you from your boat over and over again until you’re exhausted no matter how many rescues or rolls you can do. I try to stay with swimming distance of shore as well.
