What a great way to honor one's mother, and one's Maori heritage. Had tears in my eyes! What a great son, and congrats to his Mom on graduating!
What a badass way to honor his mother! I had tears in my eyes.
Its so wonderful to hear the other people joining in and making his voice louder. They also didn't know the people that joined in, which makes it so much more amazing
How do you know?
How do you know it wasn't planned that way? TO make his voice louder.

This is what makes me really proud to be a New Zealander.
@@andrearichardson6426 A Haka is a traditional Maori dance. Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand. Hence, New Zealander, from New Zealand, like an American is from America.
The Haka is used for a greeting, a challenge, or a sign of deep respect as the son was conveying to his mother. That's what made it so poignant.
Was just thinking the same thing
Proud mama, proud son! Love and Light to you both! Congratulations, Mama. 🥰

Absolutely great that a Maori tradition has become a tradition for all inhabitants
It's been forced due to colonization by the wypipo.
I liked the way he walked of after he finished. Like nothing to see here guys.❤
People break out in Haka at all kinds of ceremonies in NZ, some completely spontaneous. It always gives you chills to be there.

The avocado (Persea americana) is a medium-sized, evergreen tree in the laurel family (Lauraceae). It is native to the Americas and was first domesticated in Mesoamerica more than 5,000 years ago. Then as now it was prized for its large and unusually oily fruit.[3] The tree likely originated in the highlands bridging south-central Mexico and Guatemala.[4][5][6] Its fruit, sometimes also referred to as an alligator pear or avocado pear, is botanically a large berry containing a single large seed.
