Great video. One thing to note which is not clear when tou read the skill descriptions but Gtg White Council reduces damage for troops and the commanders, while Falgin only reduces damage for the troops.

You don’t want to run Guardians on Falgin himself. He can only buff 3 dwarven formations so it’s better if your DD and utility commanders have dwarves and Falgin has a different tank units. He does better if you give him a taunt unit like Trolls or Great beasts to soak damage away from other coms in early rounds to prolong Thrain’s Guard buff.
This is true I ran him with unique until he got benched for Sauron, was using tower guards on him
Nice comparison video. The game used to give Falgin respect like water at an aid station, but I’ve long since liquidated that. Looks like a good option for an army that does a variety of tasks. Gtg is the better investment imo though, bc of troop flexibility

U forgot to give a heads up about all the fast Saurons that steal WC like crazy. You should have mentioned speed gear to counter that.
If you look at the sheet I made for GtG, I did suggest agility as the best set for that reason :)
I wanted to ask, why in Falgin don't you consider the defender of the mountain (decoration) for Falgin, she gives command + protection to the hero and units?

Does the level 10 skill on Mithrandir only affect that skill tree? Else wouldn't that prevent his white council being stolen as he has initiative and therefore gets to act first in that round?
If someone needs to chose between GTG/Falgin running at same respect, high focus and high commander defense +220 which would be better ?
Two comments on Falgin:
1. If not focusing on his Durin's Blood skill then the Black Mace is also a good weapon choice because it does grant almost as much Commander Defense as the Hammer of Moria but adds quite some Command which reduces the army's damage taken.
2. Unless maxing Ered Luin Expedition to 10 skill ranks I'd prefer the Power of Bloodline instead of that skill. The 30 skill points going into Ered Luin Expedition would grant +15 to Unit Defense and +15 to Unit Attack. That +30 in total is IMO better than the +21 Unit Defense only. Only the +2 to Hit Points that come with the last skill point make the skill a little better than the Bloodline. So Ered Luin Expedition for me is rather Falgin's worst skill. I'd prefer using any other skill or the Bloodline skill. YMMV

True if you run him with dwarves. But you can also run taunting creature on falgin (he needs other formations to run dwarves, not himself), so if you use falgin for example with swan knights or mountain trolls, r0 + r5, then he acts as tank first few rounds, then he continues as support for next few turns. This way i see him utilizing his potential the most, and there he would need r0 rather then bloodline.
@@janstevlik7276 That's correct, in that case his Bloodline certainly doesn't make sense. I still wonder whether the +2 hits (+2% for Swan Knights, even less for Great Beasts) and the mere 21 Unit Defense are worth it or whether f.e. Durin's Blood would be the better choice.
I like the idea of putting points into bloodline however there is a draw back. If you put points into his top R0 first and then his R5, the units and Falgin get the +7 / +21 and then the defense modifier is now slightly increased when the R5 kicks in. The loss of this +21 defense for Falgin results in about 3% less damage mitigation.

Black Mace is best weapon for Falgin. Defence+Command. If running GtG +Falgin formation start lacking damage. I'm Falgin main and I prefer 3x DD's+Falgin (Dain, Gimli, KoM and Falgin).
If Sauron steals Falgin's R5, it is useless unless he's also running dwarves ?
I believe so, so the risk is definitely less for him
