- Our three barn cats, Virginia, Roger, and Phil think they are in charge of the morning routine. They are everywhere as we check on moms who are kidding, fill water buckets, get grain and watch the kids play. I figured you might enjoy a taste of the first hours of today! It began around 3:30 with Blossom kidding!! She had one healthy very sweet buckling! Our air bnb guest woke up to yelling and got to see him born. She named him lobster! Every day is a little bit different depending on how old the kids are, how many there are, and how many goats we are milking.

A barn kitty’s work is never done! The kitties are definitely patient with the newest of their goat friends! And the babies are so curious about what exactly the kitties are! So cute!

The barn cats make good supervisors. You can tell some of the goats really like the cats a lot. Also nice to see some of the adult goats greeting each other. Sweet.

They have always been in charge, just ask them. That is one fancy, modern milking machine. You ought to show us how it works and all that it does.
