Lost his pace? The guy's only gotten better. He played a crucial role in CT 2017 and CWC 2019. He's just gotten screwed over by PCB. He was a very young guy when he got into that scandal, led by the wrong seniors. He's human. He deserves a chance.

Pakistani slip fielders had the toughest job, since the days of Imran Khan they had to catch Knicks off Waqar, Akram, Akhtar Amir etc.. which is not easy. While for an Indian slip fielder the ball is rarely over 140.
This is ridiculous. Do you think all of the Australians, West Indians, South African, English, Kiwis were sleeping. Everytime this taking catch in slip reference is brought, it just reveals your lack of knowledge of cricket. Throughout the history of cricket the Australian, West Indian and South African pitches are pacy and bounciest. Every second bowler in Australia, West Indies used to be a fast bowlers and they bowled in more pacy bouncy wickets whereas in England, Newzealand the ball moved even after leaving the batsman while these four Pakistani great dealt mostly with the stumps. I am not putting Amir on the same rank, Imraan Khan takes his place in stead. Amir is mediocre in their rank. No doubt this four were good but Australia, West Indies, South Africa had bigger pool of equally good bowlers. Taking catch for them in challenging conditions were more difficult.

This was a great effort by Amir and this is coming from an Aussie. If what Geoff Lawson said about the match fixing scandal was true and he had no cause to lie, then global opinion on Pakistan cricketers needs reconsidering. Specifically, Lawson was fiercely supportive of disgraced former captain Salman Butt as he admitted to witnessing many players' salaries being withheld by the board during his tenure as Pakistan coach. Thankfully, this is in the past and Amir who deserved another chance, seized it gleefully and gracefully with a superb series during the English summer; Amir and Yasir Shah are two gentlemen I cannot wait to watch during the Aussie summer. Suffice to say, I hope Australia address the none to small issue of batting technique as Amir and Shah are good enough to adapt to conditions and expose our players. Let us hope that sporting splendour abounds from both teams. Thank you for the superb footage. :-D
