I love how they're playing this brutal music as they just sit there all composed in chairs.
...with stratocasters
i'd struggle not to headbang to this while playing
It’s funny cause I’m a metalcore/death core artist and this is how I play. I can’t headband or move if I’m in the zone
Matthew Bynon with fenders
@@jaythedjentleman2571 Same lmao
I just love how they use a tele and a strat, not typical metal guitar shapes.
Judas Grins Back it's all in the neck
At this point I see strats and teles about as much as I see the typical "metal" guitars. What was once unique and different has now been copied by dozens of bands, just like everything else in the metal scene.
They are Jim Root emg loaded strats
they have killer pickups :v who cares about the shape bro as long its comfortable but its the neck and the picks ups that count mate
Jim Root signature model, not enough metal for you? Mahogany body, ebony fretboard and EMG pickup.
Gnarly nose picking skills at 1:03 by bassman 👏
Why do I find these play through videos so fucking awesome?
Because they are!
More bands need to make videos like this. As a non guitar player, I love seeing how these songs are played and how technical they are.
FENDJENT
U.K.K DJENDER 😂
@@Killerskies0909 lmao :D
I see people saying they’re surprised about the strats, I’m surprised it’s on a six string and not a seven 😂
It's Drop A# and pitch shifted to F for the final break down
@@The_Crooked_Path they also go drop f on a standard scale length strat for low.
@@jaredwernell8753 it's pitch shifted if you read my comment. They don't actually tune the guitars that low
@@The_Crooked_Path for the song ‘low’ they did. I’m not talking about stitch in that comment. Low utilises a c standard tuning with a low f on the 6th string. Stitch is written and played in drop A#
I just play it on an 8
Love this song and I’m glad they put up a play through for it. The Fenders with humbuckers look sick, too. :)
I really enjoy your playthrough videos, keep them up!
That opening riff gives me chill
I love when the clock hits RIFF O'CLOCK
Is it already RIFF O CLOCK?!
nicky g squaaad oh yes it is
That Slipknot-esque riff at 1.18 still sounds fucking beautiful
one of my favs off deadweight
amazing i love this
I love THIS SONG
This song is sick! 🤘
Killed it again!
Where was the whammy pedal :)
I still love you.
Anyone else get a Slipknot 'IOWA' vibe?
Please keep Doing these😍
killin itttt
my fucking god i love these guys man
LEGEND
Blessed
I love watching metal bands just play their instruments in a chill scenario. Looking like classical musicians while playing heavy music.
Lit af
Nice video, can't wait to see them live with ADTR! Also, will there be a play through of ABR's "Invinsible Enemy" by any chance Fearless?
Talented Guys
2:35-2:42 is the most technical part of this song..
gio_duude yepp
clearly technical isn't what they're going for... try Animals As Leaders instead?
It's a fucking joke Jeff
I suppose you didn't get my joke either...
To be fair, your joke did seem like much less of a joke than OP.
Really great song! What kind of effect is used in the part from 2:03-2:09?
young Matt Damon on the bass
Love from Dominican Republic, do "Don't let me fade away"
So calm playing within this brutal music :v
nice cover guys ;)
I heard he uses "not even slinky" strings mixed with some strings from a 8 strings set. So it would be 12-80 gauge. Does anyone know the gauge of the strings in between?
Hey guys! Love these playthrough videos! Does anyone know what gauge of strings they use for guitars/Basses?
Greetings from Argentina!
THE FIIIILLLTTTHH
Everyone already knows how to play this one, come onnnnnn
🌪️🔥🎧
Goddamn the riffage is so sick on this song!!!
yassssssss
Would be a Awesome to learn this song
I’ve been trying to learn this song but it doesn’t sound quite right
I wanna see a don't let me fade away play through
are those jim root signatures?
ye
Am i hearing something different? 2:48 That's pretty low for a what they were playing.
Drop pedal???
i'd love to see it live.
Limi Thonger *some on in the comments said they use a drop pedal.
My guess is a drop pedal
Their guitars are tuned to drop A# I believe and they use a drop pedal to bring it down to drop F if I remember
Digitech whammy pedal bruh
Do they use a drop tune live or how do they execute that last section?
They do haha you're right
Ben Poppy it's a drop pedal
or they simply detune at that pause right before
Just use an octave pedal to drop the tuning instantly
Yep, the main part of the song is in A#, but they use a digitech drop pedal to go down to i think G for the last breakdown
why it's in private?
Is this in drop B?
Pitch shifter for the final breakdown?
Yep, They using drop pedal to drop F.
1:25 how to make that guitar screech?
Big Gore Using a whammy pedal!
Bruh Seth got ICE
Does anyone know what they might be using to shift those like dissonant notes in the break after the first chorus at 1:19? Is that a pedal I could purchase possibly a like polyphonic pitch pedal? Or what could that effect be?
late reply but im also trying to figure it out haha, I believe its the whammy pedal from one of the digitec model's.. could be wrong
Way late reply but if anybody else is wondering it's the Digitech Whammy pedal, the red one.
That bassist is so chill, it's kinda making me uncomfortable.
* tries to play stitch. Gives up.
iyi güzel
Im not the only one who finds the most impressive thing about this the fact they are playing this on strats, am I?
Mr Speed I made a stray copy and it hits harder than most guitars I've played. I routed it for a humbucker and left it uncovered, so the resonance is stupid big. The thin neck and flat fretboard is super nice too. makes for a wicked guitar and mouth watering tone
They're using EMGs so it's not really impressive at all. Any guitar with high-output humbuckers can be used for this kind of music effectively. If they were using a traditional Strat with single coils it'd be a different story.
Pretty sure they use baritone necks and EMG pickups, they're not using your grandpa's classic 60's strat setup.

Get shredded
Jim root's fans ?! Played on strat signature
They should play 7 strings, up the djent-ness and go Invent, Animate style on their next album and keep the hardcore parts in songs
They're already tuned so low in Drop A#. I don't see the point of them using 7-strings unless they want to use the high E string a lot.
This song can be played in drop f without a drop pedal and it will sound the same
i know the tuning, Bb F Bb Eb G C but what is this tuning called?
The tuning is called Drop A#.
Drop A# or drop Bb
Okay how in God's name does Chris play these low notes with a FOUR STRING BASS. They have songs that tune to a low G and this song goes down to an F (with a pitch shifter) but still..
THOSE MUST BE MEGA THICC STRINGS
A lot of metal guys will take the bottom four strings from a five string set
@@somegingerdude8110 that’s genius wow I never thought of that
What tuning is this in a 6 string
Drop A# … when they use a drop pedal at the very end of the song it goes to either drop G or drop F
Trevor Risen oh cool thanks man , a band I’m working with wanna cover it but my guitar is set in drop C# so I was curious to see if I could tune that low without my strings flopping
Drop A#??
Fqweinw - I'm pretty sure it's A#, but they definitely use a pedal for the last part to make it sound djenty as fuck lol
Actually it is drop A#, you're right. But they use a drop pedal to go down on G (if I'm not mistaken) for the last part
Unsaved Soul - It kind of sounds a little lower than G, but my ears might be deceiving me I don't have my guitar handy to compare right now lol
Drop f for the last part
Fenders play metal well I'll be damned, I guess ill just chuck my Schecter away
Am I the only one bothered by the fact that when the last breakdown thing hits the tuning suddenly goes from drop a# to drop f?
Gabe Hill they use a drop pedal live
That makes sense.
"Thank you for attending this week's Metalcore Class sponsored by the local library. Make sure to leave your $5 with the receptionist. Cookies and juice are on the table. Now, is everyone tuned down to drop C?"
I want to learn how to play guitar :(
do an acoustic version of this song :D
Michael Kalafsky why the hell would they do that?
Only thing moving are the fingers.
tfue
Play in 1.25 speed if you want a jammy jam
so uh, anyone else having serious doubts about this "playthrough"? looks and sounds like a dry run to me.
Thats because it is lol
"6-string can't be heavy"
nice backtrack lol
This audio is exactly the same as studio version. You could cover the song even if it doesn't sound as good... this seems lazy af
it's a playthrough, not a cover
the bass is so weak, he don't even know how to play it
Garda Phraja the bass doesn't have to follow the guitars exactly
