Straight away I thought you would give the staff the cupcakes to put in their break room, you wouldn't open them in front of the cameras. It's a wedding dress shop for heaven's sake, the staff wouldn't be waving sticky cakes around!
Well, I like their show and enjoyed seeing her in a different way. They are so sweet- both sisters even though they are so different from each other. Work together so well.

Katherine found her dress elsewhere. The lines were similar to the ones she'd tried on but the bottom was different. She was stunning. (The wedding took place in 2015.)
I’d never google someone I don’t know that was on a tlc reality show for 10 min. I’m just here for the drama and to look at the dresses.

Kathrine actually did well by telling her sister not to pay for the custom gown cuz it is her wedding. She knew she shouldn’t be relying heavily on her sister’s opinion about her dress choice when she has to be the one that feels like a bride. I’m sure she’ll find her. She knows what she likes, she just needs to find it :)

I think the advisors failed if they didn't show her different options. How many times have we seen brides who think they want something and when something different is suggested they find the perfect dress?

I am sure they did. In this 10 minute video they only show key elements. The brides try on about 10 dresses during their SYTTD appointments. We don’t see all of them on the YT videos.
what they don't tell you is that after alterations the dress was over 15k, so it was over budget
The bride's that say yes to the dress on the show, don't always get married in the dress they said yes to on air. They often end up wearing something completely different.

It’s more about the drama of buying a wedding dress and the showcasing of the dresses to the audience (us). I’d never google them cuz idk them.
The first complete dress was the best, IMO. It just needed to have added tulle underneath to make it fuller.
I wished she would have tried on a few different dresses with different silhouettes just to see if that’s what she really wanted in the end. But I hope she is happy with her choice in the end.
She has the figure for a column style or drop waist. The natural waist and full skirt make her look gangly. You have to dress your physique to look great in the dress.
They own D.C. cupcakes in Washington D.C . The custom dress looked beautiful on her . Even though she didn’t get it I hope Katherine finds her dress
The dress she ended up wearing was actually very similar, but not as poufy and busy in the skirt. She wore "a delicate strapless Vera Wang gown that featured an overlay of lace and acres of tulle belted with jewels on a taupe satin ribbon."
I love to watch and see the professionalism they all have as wedding gown sellers.
Mothers choice was the best...i think she did not like the cupcake swirls and so many roses, though she thought she would....they should have shown her different ball gowns...

My sister is indecisive as well. She had a very small wedding with family. She didn't want to spend a lot of money on the dress or ceremony. She had it in my great aunt's backyard. Knowing what she likes, I found a 100% silk slip dress from JCrew online. This was back in the day when JCrew did wedding dresses. It was even on sale. I sent her photos. She bought it and had it tailored. It looked beautiful on her and her photos were great.

Honestly, I wonder how anyone can spend $10,000k or more on a dress they will only wear once. I don’t get it because it will just hang in the closet after you wear it for one day.
Thankfully she didn’t get that dress I can tell she wasn’t feeling it but her sister was, she can definitely use a better shape especially for her price point she need something better

with as indecisive as she was, I'm surprised she was able to accept the proposal without looking at her sister. I get that buying a dress is a big decision but I was getting frustrated with her

The whole family is wonderful. But my personal opinion is she never should have been allowed to try to look like a damn cupcake.

They should have tried several unexpected, flattering dress shapes on her so she could see what she looks like in a dress that ENHANCES a bride’s shape and personal style!! Jeez, that’s what professionals are for!!

$10K on a cupcake dress is ridiculous. I’m not aganist expensive dresses, I just think they need to be very well designed and unique to be worth the money. The dresses they put her in are very cheap looking, you can find that style for $800 at David’s Bridal. Her taste in dresses really only requires a $1k budget

I think she should FIRST tried on different styles like A-line, fit to flair and princess (without the busy bottom) since it’s her first time trying on any wedding dresses! You cannot pick a wedding dress until you know what style works the very best for you!

Our Aussie family went to DC Cupcakes on a trip to America. We were great fans, and I’d been wanting a red velvet cupcake for ages. We waited in line to enter, bought the cakes and brought them back to the hotel. That was when I discovered I was allergic to red food dye. Happily we had bought other types as well.
Im always thinking, whatever happened to simple? My mum wore , ok 2nd wedding and it was late 70s, a plain chiffon long sleeve with gather a wrist, floor length pale pale almost blue tinied dress. She looked lovely. These are pretty but sometimes i think, and i know, people laugh at the OTT 80s, these are meringuies too

Well they’re allowed to change their minds and it still doesn’t diminish the experience…but for some of course, they could experience this multiple times.
The dress was too much material. The bride was swallowed up. Oh, it looks like a cup cake is not a good way to pick a dress. I hope she let go of the 'I want to look like I am wearing a cup cake' concept, and tried on different styles..
