No one in real life ever looked up to the Yankees wives for style.
I live in NY and never have I said “What would the Yankees wives wear?’😂
Right?! I live in NYC and can't name a single "Yankee wife". This is the capital of American fashion, people are looking up to designers, models, and all the celebs who live here. I honestly feel bad for these women, they clearly think that bragging about being associated with this sports team (they don't play for) is their greatest accomplishment. I wish them well, but usually pro athlete marriages don't last.
This is the comment I was looking for 😂😂😂
Too true legends in their own minds
I didn't even know that was a thing
They married in 2011 and are still married and have 3 children... so good for her.
Great to hear, thanks for the update.
That’s so nice to know. In the grand scheme of things the marriage is far more important than the wedding dress 👰♀️ and all the wedding 💒 hoopla
Good for her! Thanks for the update
Yes good for her! Before that he SA a woman in a hospital gurney. I dare you to google his name
I will those crows are not still her friends .
This bride has more class than her entourage. I get that they live in a world where there are pressures to live up to, I hope they don't ruin her.
they've already ruined her, they picked a tacky show of wealth over a classy gown the bride actually liked.
Pressure can’t make a person act like trash unless they already were. Quality people rise to great expectations.
First dress is ugly and too much
Agreed they were bullies to her.
They all have been married but...how many are true to themselves and don't have fake ppl around them??? Keep true to yourself!
Syndal is so young, sweet, and obviously easily influenced. Wish she had brought her family instead of this shallow entourage.
Yes! I've seen this episode twice before, and I'm always struck by the fact that she has no relatives or close friends with her. WHY?
Also, the Yankee wives are SO overbearing! 😮
well its a TV show, with lots of manufactured drama
A lot of brides apply to be on this show. Often the only way to get on is to have something that makes you stand out or interesting. It’s unfortunate for her, but this was her thing
I would bring my family even if they have zero sense of style. If they say I look good I'll take it.
The bride looked stunning in the 2nd dress. Her entourage struck me as very false. They pressured her into choosing a dress that they liked but she was unsure off. I feel sorry for the bride as she will be expected to be part of this wives club.
they're 100% a mean girls clique.
.. and such a shame. It was indeed tacky!
@@dietotaku Toasting themselves with champagne because they were all in it together to make sure she didn't look too good and outshine them.
They were all smirking as they sat on the sofa telling her that the second dress looked awful. They knew they were sabotaging her and thought themselves very clever.
They were all smirking as they sat on the sofa telling her that the second dress looked awful. They knew they were sabotaging her and thought themselves very clever.
drinking champagne in the bathroom because they know they're not allowed to drink in the salon is SO tacky. just go without booze for an hour, jesus, it's not hard.
So staged. Ugh!
I also thought it was kinda low brow.
Yeah those wives have no class
@@xan5645 they have class theyre paying for with their husband's paychecks thats it
@@BasicYTHandle probably.
Yet, the shortie one has some pretty maniacal eyes, for which alcohol is not a farfetch reason...
She picked the wrong entourage, elegance wins every time. Accessories do make a difference.
Personally I would love the first dress but that is my taste and what i would like. If my friend was getting married, I would never pick and pressure her into what I LIKE, I would help her find what she likes and it is clear as day they weren’t doing that for her.
Bruh the second dress was absolute perfection on her! I'm Indian and we prefer the most blingy (not tacky tho!) wedding dresses here but I prefer plain, elegant wedding gowns without lace or embellishments for Christian weddings. They look more timeless. The second dress with a dainty or statement necklace would have make her look like a princess bride. The first dress is what I consider cheap as if someone hot glued rhinestones on a dress.
She picked the wrong husband. That man SA a woman in a hospital gurney. Google it.
She kinda also picked the wrong man. Look up her hubs *Chad Gaudin* I’m a baseball fan & I know a thing or two about his past. In 2013; he was charged w/ open lewdness after groping a woman in a Vegas hospital. Just sayin’ 🤷🏼♂️
If everyone at the wedding is going to be blinged out then go the opposite - simple and elegant. Don’t compete with the others - outshine them with simplicity.
I thought the same thing
Yes. She just shone in the second dress. The dress she chose was the star & it diminished her glow.
Adding jewels now, is going to be a little much.
Agreed the BIGGER those tacky "jewels" are the BETTER plastic ones look, in my opinion.
Ok, "everyone really looks up to" a group who act like a bunch of high school mean girls and find it mature and sophisticated to drink champagne out of Dixie Cups in the bathroom of a high-end bridal salon without the bride while the bride is trying on her 1st dress. Uh-huh. I'd trust their opinion about as far as I could throw it. Sorry, this poor thing is really looking to them for advice and they're acting like a bunch of spoiled rich snobs.🙄
Exactly that. Why would anyone look up to them?
@@joannayeo9545 They sure have a big sense of self-importance considering they are only married to sportsmen. They aren't royalty.
People that have inherited wealth don’t act like that
They go for elegance and class
The entourage were a group of bitches.
That is so true!
Very superficial. The second dress didn't have any bling but it fit her better, was softer and more lux on her than the heavy duty blinged out dress. I think Syndal was right to begin with, good jewelry with the second dress would have been perfect and very princess looking. But, peer pressure won out and now she doesn't have a voice.
these people are ridiculous. bride walks out in a satin ballgown worth thousands of dollars, "she looks like she's stepping out of the shower in her towel." WHAT TOWELS ARE YOU PEOPLE USING
IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND STUNNING...
I think the second dress was classy and stunning. They could have put something around her waist line to sparkle it up a bit and added some stunning drop jewel earrings and it would have been so perfect. All that cheap looking bling sewn on the first dress looked like every other over the top dress you always see.
@@kerrystone7375 THE 2nd dress was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND STUNNING.
@@kerrystone7375 agree! A jeweled thin belt & some sophisticated jewelry would have been gorgeous. I really dislike those dresses with huge rhinestones all over. Smaller Swarovski crystals sewn in delicate patterns is beautiful.
I’d really like to see the not bling dress with the jewelry. It could be perfect. Too bad she picked the dress she didn’t really prefer. Peer pressure is a thing.
I agree with you!!!
For sheep it is.
She chose a dress her entourage likes… (I wouldn’t call them friends)
She brought the peer pressure with her, but y tho?
@@heatherwolmarans8287 Because peer pressure! It was likely part of ‘the deal’ for being on the tv show.
The bride seems very down to earth and sweet, no wonder he fell for her immedietly.
I have seen this exact dress chosen so many times on this show. The minute there is a bigger budget and a request for bling you know it's coming.
Same here ! I am sick of that dress !
Women are under the impression that bling automatically means it looks expensive when its really about the fabric and the cut that shows quality. Elegant is always going to read "money". She looked perfect in the second dress.
Those from Old-Money families know that classic, clean, and simple are the ways to go. Even royal brides avoid lots of bling.
Exactly it was true elegance
@@robynsalaver4069 absolutely the second dress 👗 was timeless elegance
As a seamstress who has worked with COUNTLESS wedding and formal gowns, the delicate work is prettier and it takes much more time to complete.
To me, the fabric was too heavy and the bling looked tacky. She is a petite, delicate young woman, if she had asked me about classy, I would not have recommended the first gown, I would have encouraged her to continue looking and trying.
I can't even count the number of times I've seen that first dress on this show.
Seriously, I know, I am a seamstress to me it is made for a MUCH TALLER WOMAN, not for delicate petite frames and women.
She should have gotten the one she wanted.
How sad she chose to bring this group instead of her family. Hope she doesn’t regret this in the future…😢
It’s the “everyone looks up to the yankee wives for style” that had me laughing. Umm, where?! Don’t no one care what the hell any of those wear much less who they are. 😅
Keep in mind that only two of them are Yankee wives. The blonde is a makeup artist friend.
You got a bunch of smug gold diggers that snagged a rich baseball player and then you got a woman that found her true love... not surprised these obnoxious girls from the hood want her to look like what they think a rich bride would look like, when the bride actually has better taste than all of them, and is naturally inclined to be a classy bride in an elegant dress. (That poor bride actually said those women had style, yet they were all dressed like they were going to McDonalds for a burger, instead of appearing on a TV show to buy a wedding dress in a pricy boutique... they couldn't be bothered to make an effort!)
The simpler dress was actually much more stunning. She should have went with her family or real friends. She could have “blinged” out the simple with high end jewelry. Old money isn’t tacky
She should have chose the 2nd dress. The 1st dress wore her, she looked so elegant in the 2nd dress.
Hmmm - all those women look and sound the same 😢 and they’re not her friends…
What a shame Syndal can’t be herself
2nd dress more elegant, classy. Entourage seems very immature. Unsophisticated.
Reminds me of high school girls
Superficial girls.
Well, they are WAGs. They have NEVER been known for being anything more than slutty arm candy for rich athletes who have more money than sense. I mean, they gathered in the lavatory to drink champagne in disposable paper cups... Can we say TRASHY? The sad thing is that this Syndal girl looks like she is very sweet, and it's unfortunate to see that she feels that she has to please people who have neither taste nor class, just because they're married to her future husband's teammates.
Looks more like marrying into a cult than marrying the person you love...
I wish the bride would have trusted herself instead of the couch of mean girls inserting themselves into her final decision. In one breath the bride says they all have really good style so she trusts them, next shot is the baseball wives on the couch and I'm thinking "but do they? do they really?" They have opinions for the group, but that doesn't mean you have to bend.
My thoughts are that money doesn't buy class. These women reminds me of the over the top gypsy weddings.
You nailed it! Perfect description
Oof. This unfortunately met every single negative stereotype I was hoping I wouldn't see. You can see clearly on her face how much happier and comfortable she is in the second dress. Disappointing that no one helped advocate for her
Yeah, so much for "friends"
Less is more. She doesn't need bling to to shine. She is the bling herself. Clearly the group doesn't understand what elegance and class really is.
Let's be clear, just because you are the wife of a pro baller doesn't mean that you have good taste. In fact, the odds are that you don't!
I see huge trouble and very rocky waves on the horizon for this "marriage." I'm very glad I saw this video: it gave me a glimpse into the fake "world" of baseball, and that "team" especially! Disgusting!
They married in 2011.
Actually they're still married today and have 3 kids
Brides pick was absolutely perfect for her and didn’t take away from her natural beauty… entourage was selfish and only thought of themselves … she was beautiful in the 2nd
Aw, what a sweet young lady. She looked beautiful in both dresses, though the second really showcased her beauty. I hope those ladies and her new husband are gentle with her.
I do love the legendary dress she chose but I was really rooting for her to stand her ground with the stunning second dress. ❤
Dressing for the rich guests is very superficial. I would choose what I feel beautiful in and my glow would impress, not price!! ❤ I would have chosen the second dress and add the bling I want instead of the first tinsel dress.
Exactly. I don't get why she had to be 'more' than the overdressed mutton guests. She would have stood out a mile with simple elegance and her radiant beauty, whereas now she will simply blend in with the general hoard of classless show offs. What a shame. She could have showed them that less is more.
@@cyflym11 Exactly my thoughts. Besides, I don't trust casual acquaintances to tell me the truth. Some could be very jealous and want to ruin things for you. She's beautiful and didn't need their help!!!
It's hard to believe that in a store with over 1500 gowns, they could only come up with 2, especially considering the unlimited budget. I've seen other super bling gowns here that she could have tried on. She didn't light up with that first dress, and that could lead to regret.
They-film-for-over-eight-hours,-with-the-bride-trying-on-many-gowns....it's-then-edited-down-to-whichever-gowns-the-silly-onsite-producer-says-to-show.
Unlimited budget and she only tried TWO dresses? What's happening with people lol!
Don't forget that this show is edited. Almost always, the bride tries on more dresses than what's shown.
I don't think they wanted her to be prettier than them. She looked beautiful and elegant in the plainer dress whereas the first was tacky like a knock-off Barbie doll. They made me feel uncomfortable from the start.
It's a pity that Randy didn't step up to "protect" the bride from her superficial entourage. She clearly wasn't so much into that dress
I love the 2nd one. So much more elegant.
A pet peeve of mine is when the entourage says "This one is SO her. It's so her style." While the bride is over here saying it's literally not her style. Why is it so hard to just listen and not insert your own opinion?
Relying on people who drink in the bathroom to help you decide your wedding dress and theme maybe a bad idea. She’s marrying a man and starting a family, she’s not marrying a team or the wives.
The wikipedia article about her husband says he was playing for the Nationals by the time this episode aired, in 2011.
This is kinda sad to me. This poor girl didn't really get to choose her own dress . The other girls totally pushed her into choosing the one they all liked .
The fakeness in the air is ruining the quality of my breathing 😅 yeah Noooooo ....
I loved the 2nd dress. It was so classy!
"everybody looks up to the Yankees and their wives for style" ... me sitting here confused as I have never heard of any of these ladies and I cannot name a single Yankee wife I've heard of in the last 20 years. Closest I get is when J-Lo dated A-Rod. And at that point he was retired. That's all I got.
She should've brought her friends not the wives of her husband's friends. The entourage only wanted to be on TV because they're never in the limelight, their husbands are so this was their moment
The bride didn't choose her dress but the entourage did ....😢
This one made me sad. The bride's face didn't light up at all in the first dress. She bowed to peer pressure.
Ugh. Her entourage is classless. Bling can, and often is, tacky. I wish she had had better friends to tak with her. I dont see those friendships lasting. The 2nd dress was elegant. And nobody "looks up to the Yankees and their wives". Far from it!
Not a huge fan of Pnina's dresses. Love the 2nd dress on her. Wish she had put her foot down and chose that 1.
The bride look great on her dress. She looked stunning on the second dress. She valued more the opinion of her entourage than her own family, so she did good on following their advice. 👍👍👍👍
The bride to be should have gone with the second dress. It was as she said, elegant and classy. It allowed her natural beauty to shine through. She was pressured into that first dress and she was visibly uncomfortable, and not connected to it. I hope that she changed her mind. Perhaps instead of a celebrity wedding, she and her fiance should have narrowed their guest list to family and personal friends. Later they could have a celebration incorporating the team members and their families.
Srsly amazing to see ppl who are so impressed with themselves with zero justification.
That second dress was so beautiful! She is gorgeous and will look stunning in whatever she wears, but her “friends” seem shallow.
ok, so the second dress was ~exactly like the first except without bling, and the entourage pronounced it "ugly" when it could have been blinged up custom. wtf?
Very creepy when she first met her fiancé that he wanted her to move in with him after only knowing him for a couple days.
The second dress was so elegant
They are NOT her friends.
I could see them trash talking about her and the dress at the wedding, turning it around and saying they tried to tell the bride to go with something more understated and classy. Mean girls for sure
I guess Randy being Team Bride doesn't apply, when there's an overpriced dress to be sold to someone with unlimited budget. This whole appointment made me feel very uncomfortable
Randy doesn’t get a commission though so he has no hidden motive to push an expensive dress.
Girl its not about people but about how you feel. She wanted to try more dresses that was clear.
I love how she said basically she could jack it up with jewelry and accessories. She made that 2nd dress beautiful on her! And yes, thought it was weird no mention of family.
These millionaires are going to be blinged up and you need to be more blinged up?? Are you kidding?? NO, you DON'T!!. Have none of you been taught the story of Esther/Hadassah?? All the other girls paraded before the king lost out because of their blinged out appearance. Esther won because of her elegant simplicity.
She is trying to fit in
Sad
Those WAGS are obnoxious and shallow. They have way too much influence on that poor bride who just let it happen and must have felt like a lamb to slaughter. If I were her, I would drop them and seek for genuine friendships elsewhere. The second dress was clearly made for her and because of that silly group of chits the bride's chance to really shine on her wedding day in something exceptional quickly went out the window. Instead she picked that overpriced, constantly showcased Pnina Tournai monstrosity just for the sake of some chunky rhinestones applied to it.
@Doris - I honestly don't think I've ever seen a Pnina dress that I've liked. they're all pretty ugly, IMHO.
Baseball bride did not look happy in that dress . She needed to try on more. I really don't think she liked that dress
You know, let her do this again, but with her family and her supportive husband.
Those snobs are going to regret ever being like this in the future.
I feel like she was BULLIED into getting the dress that she had doubts about
She should have tried more dresses on Just to make sure.,but I think the dress is stunning.
I mean both looked good on her but the second one really made her shine. Too bad she got influenced so heavily by the entourage ☹️
I preferred the second dress, she looked so elegant.
02:54 😂😂😂 Lol I was drinking a slushy & almost choked. Well done, unknown writer.
Ummm, yeah... entourage is SO classy, drinking champagne in the bathroom from paper water fountain cups. THAT'S a lovely image to try to "live up to". 🤨
I do never get tired of that dress number one even though I’ve seen it often. Second dress fabric is gorgeous
This bride is so strange. She brought no family members. It not about their opinion but rather their support. These people are just in your orbit because your partner is a baseball player like there's.
I loved the dresses, I feel the second one showed her beauty as the one with all the bling was quite over powering. She looked stunning away! Shame she didn't have any family members there along side the other ladies, as much as they helped her choose I felt it was about their opinion and not about what the bride possibly wanted.
That blinged out dress looked tacky and cheap. Wish she had the courage to choose a dress that fit her and had some class.
She should get married at Disneyland. After all it's called the WORLD OF MAKE BELIEVE. 😂
I feel like if there's THAT much pressure to look good, then these people need to learn to be less shallow and vain and learn to accept others as is. Also, it's not a good look for the Yankees to treat their significant others as trophies and not as people.
None of her entourage had a sense of style. She looked elegant in the 2nd and tacky in the 1st. Elegance and PT don't go hand in hand anyway so its not surprising. The bride to be should be able to make up her own mind at her age and not be swayed so easily. You could clearly see she didn't fully agree with her(their) pick.
With an unlimited budget, there HAD to be something more tasteful!! “Bling” doesn’t mean “gaudy”. Her figure could have definitely been in something more glamorous!
The second dress was very pretty on her
"i dont want strapless, it gives armpit boob" ma'am you're literally wearing a strapless dress rn i dont-
Cave to the pressure of the expectations of others. Such a shame. Be your own person. Beautiful young lady, wish her the best.
That budget with only 2 options given? She should have gone with Gok
I don’t think that guy she is marrying is THAT big a celebrity.
I think the second dress was her dress and beautiful on her. Definitely liked her idea of having a beautiful but subtle dress with some nice jewelry to accent it well.
She let drunk friends push her into the dress. She clearly wasn't sure, and they should have encouraged her to try different styles, like she wanted. Pathetic friends; they just wanted to go drink. Beautiful bride, beautiful dress, but don't think it was a good fit.
Una pena el vestido que eligió, es tan corriente...( perdón, que sea carísimo no significa que sea elegante)... el segundo vestido realzaba su belleza sin tanto alboroto... Su séquito.... superficial al límite 😢
Yes!
“You need to just say this is it and feel it and say this is it” the worst piece of advice I’ve ever heard 😂
Give me a break!! She has to live up to “Yankee Standards?” 😂 There are “short-term” friends…
Awww the second one was stunning
This video is about 10 years old already.
That Pnina Tornai dress is very popular . The second gown looked like the first one , but , without the bling . I so much looooved both dresses . I looooved the ruching . Loooooooved both of them . The entourage was so rude . That's why it's best to go with just a few people you really know .
The plain one looked much more sophisticated and elegant on her! She was right on this one in my opinion
It was def the 2nd dress for me & she also knew it. But for her entourage to push her into getting the first was a lil cringe to watch, ya know? She could easily warn an over the top crown & a blinged out bouquet to tie in her bling theme. Idk, her entourage gets a 2 out of 10 for me.
I have never understood why people are so swayed by other people’s opinions that straight up don’t matter. It is YOUR wedding day, not theirs. The only persons opinion that matters to me is my mama.
Just checked them out, she did wear the dress she said yes to, and she just looked gorgeous❤
I feel like that when the bride got engaged to his fiancé she started to concern about what people wanted . She wanted to be one of them.
Proof money doesn’t buy class. You can always tell those raised with money vs those who won it or married into it.
Poor woman, not personally and many snakes around. They talked like they are the baseball player themselves 😂
