  • Long story short went to gator and by the end of the day it started making a weird kind of harsh rattling noise only when I gave it gas my guess was my primary clutch broke but opening up the belt box and looking at how worn it is and there's chunks missing from it...the noise starts when I give it gas and the secondary starts to engage slapping the primary clutch as it starts to close up.

This is for if your belts got slack. when you let off gas during speed the engine braking kicks in. the clutches are not reeling it back in fast enough and the spines on you belt are dragging on the edge of your air vent. in my case it was caused by oversized tires. Fixed it with springs made to closed them faster for my tire size (also opted in for a clutch helix that removes engine braking. good for if you ride on pavement.). there is also a belt slide guide you can install to protect the belts form the edge of the vent.
