We have had ours for more than three years. We print tons of paper and refilled the ink tanks ONCE. I print recipes, patterns for my hobby, documents, electronic receipts, just everything. We have gone through at least 1-1/2 cases of paper. We’ve never had any issues with this machine. Just wish it had a USB or memory card slot.
Which one do you have
Awesome and thanks for sharing!
I have had an Epson 4750 for well over two years and I use it regularly. So far, we have printed over one and one half a case of standard printer paper. That is about 15 reams or 7500 sheets of paper, and to date, I have not yet had to add ink, I am still on the original ink that came with the machine I have not even opened the extra ink that came with it.
I cannot say enough good things about this printer for home, or home office use.
Really?
Sounds very promissing. If such is really so.
I'm looking at 3 possibilities.
For an over all AIO; Print, Copy, Scan and Fax.
Ink sustainment is a major factor that is a requirement.
Does anyone have any experience, insight or knowledge comparing the Brother InkInvestment as compared to the Epson You Fill the Tank types of AIO's or the excellent HP Envy Photo 7855 AIO?
Or any other viable AIO.
I'd like to see HP also come out with such a an large tank Ink well type AIO series.
My experience after three years is very similar. I have started on the installed spare bottles of ink.
Is this when printing Text documents or photos full page etc?
@@daryltanner7747 Is this when printing Text documents or photos full page etc?
Another possible difference to consider: When we change an ink cartridge, we're getting a new print head with it. But with ink refill only, our existing print head just gets older and more used. Print heads can last a long time if periodically cleaned. However, it may be worth checking out how long print heads last and what's the cost of replacing them.
Thank you! Now I know what model I will buy. I'll go with 3760
These ecotank could save tons of ink in the long run compare to cartridge printer. I'm using it to print with RollPrint software to print roll to roll vinyl unattended. It saves me tons of time
Technobby can you use Ink from eBay to top up with or should I just stick to the Genuine Ink?
Looking for and new printer was wondering what do you think between is the best all around ecotank et-3760 or Canon megatank g7020?
Thank you very much for this helpful video. Yes, I am considering moving from the cartridge to the eco tank, so really appreciate your video. The first I have watched, and it feels like it's the only one I need watch - apart from any newer ones of yours as I am now watching this 2 years after you posted it.
(Just the music in the background made it a little harder to absorb all your info😉)
You are welcome! Sorry about the music.
@@BestPrinters No problem! You don't have it in your recent videos😀👍
I was in a German store asking which printer is the best for printing a lot because I want to open a sticker shop but my biggest problem yet is that the printer prints stripes no matter how often I clean everything and how many prints I make I just doesn’t work correctly
Bought the ET-4850 and so far very happy with it.
Nice!
One thing people do not point out is that the ADF on these printers are not duplex. HP ADFs are duplex. I'm still going with epson but it's something to know before buying
I dont do much personal printing but when I have kids I plan on getting one of these since homeschoolers print A TON. Plus I'm a crafter and this would allow me to be more free with my personal printing.
Great, I love the homeschooling idea!
I already have a good working printer, the Epson WF-4834 and got it for a ridicously cheap price. i use it mainly for scanning and faxing, and use the ink as little as possible. All I need now is a secondary printer that is very good on ink. It doesn't have to be multifunction either because I already have one. If they could market a an Eco tank stand alone printer, I would jump on it.
Excellent dissertation and reviews. Much appreciated.
Very good information-just what I was hoping to find. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I had printer ecotank model. Its already 2.5yrs and printing about 7000pages. Its doing well until now. Its cost alot at begining but in long term you can save aloot of money and avoid anger over running ink during printing work.
I am glad you are able to confirm similar results to what Epson advertised.
hi, understanding that the ecotanks only added the tanks which replaceable catridge printers are equivalent to the ET-2600 and ET-2720. I have a dead printer giving a grinding noise when turned on and the paper feed is faulty i.e runs then error comes up stating paperjam yet there is nothing in the printer. am think of getting a cheaper model then custom fit the tank unit. please help
Does any of the printer in this video have the capability to duplex printing and scanning?
Great presentation!!! Thank you.
Printers lost my continued ink sales years ago. I used to buy bulk ink in bottles and inject my cartridges as the replacement was very expensive. The past few years I've been using a flexible hose kit that runs from outside my printer that I can fill up the cartridge without opening the printer and I can see the levels. Idea's came from China back in 2008. They have been using this type of system for many years now.
I have heard of this system you are talking about. Too bad it isn't mainstream in the U.S.
I think it's called continuous ink system printers. we used then here too in the Philippines
Yup it’s called a Ciss system 💯 Pretty much turns your printer into an ecotank lol
I purchased an epson 3520 in 2013, I replaced the cartridges with a ciss and it’s still operating like BRAND NEW today👍🏽!
CISS kits are often not reliable, they give many issues. However I think that printers made for this kind of use out of the box shouldn't have this problem.
Awesome review man. Curious, what printer do you have or use personally and why? Thanks 👍🏾
Hey! I use the Hp Officejet Pro Premier. I use this printer because I have found the Officejet line up to be dependable in the past and I like the look of the premier.
Very informative video, thank you. Could you recommend eco tank model with the double-sided printer, the cheapest on offer, please?
Appreciate the information. I'm going to continue to watch your other videos so I can make a wise decision with my hard earned money. Thanks again
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!
Great informative video! Do all these printers accommodate all common paper sizes? Thanks!
Yes!
You covered a different explanation compared to other videos of all-in-ones which is helpful.
I am glad this was helpful!
I have had a Epson et2550 since Aug 20 2016 and I have spent a total of 8€ for ink I bought 1 bottle of black ink. I have printed tons of stuf for my granchildren when doing school work because of covid.
Awesome, thanks for sharing!
What is the max paper weight on EcoTank L3160?
Is this good for printing photos?
my 2550 is 4 years old. and still running fine. 17000 prints total. and 10000
of those in just the last year. expected was for the fine , capillary tubing
that carries the 4 colors of ink to the print head to clog up. nope.
the one bug-a-boo is its stopped auto feeding in kodak glossy paper
to print out color fotos. think the rollers could use a cleaning.
but its major surgery to get in there for something like that.
regular 500-ream paper feeds no problems at all.
and the text and pictures print in focus. like new
once i let one of the tanks , the black one, get low and the
text words started to fade / lighten. all i did was work
a maintainance 'tool' to feed extra ink along the pipeline.
that fixed the fade and no problems since.
i use toothpicks as 'dipsticks' to check ink levels.
once a month or so.
once i too had my wallet drained buying those '63' et al
ink cartridges. never more. those folks at epson did a
bang-up job with these cartridge-less printers.
I purchased the 4760 and it works well for at home work. Saved money on cartridges, but don’t buy white! I purchased the white, the ink smears when scanning, so then there are black lines on the documents. I replaced 3 times already. I print and scan tons of paper, the feeder works well. Wireless printing works well.
hi, does this have the "scan to email" option?
What is the difference between the 3760 and the 4760?
4750 with 5 kids who love to print. 2 years on one set of bottles. It is amazing
Thats awesome!
How does the quality of prints compare between the models?
This is the best review I have ever seen for Printers, i Just got the information which i was looking for, thank you very much
Awesome, thank you!
I am so grateful for your video, I want to buy an epson printer and was wondering what the difference was between them. Now I can rest assured that I am buying what I need for my specific printing purpose.
I am so glad to hear that! I'm grateful for your support.
I hope you didn't buy an epson yet. It's garbage!
If one color is out will this prevent printing in black and white like other Epson’s??
I just bought a Epson ET-2850 because my old Canon MX892 stopped working and I was told to pay $200 for a new print head. I was tired of paying outrageous prices for cartridges anyways so I hope I made the right choice. I only do printing like once a year anyways for taxes.
Good choice, you will save on ink.
I've been looking to purchase one, I am sick of running out of ink with my Epson 520, so I'm hoping this will help, however I have a question, i am wondering if they still have the same printing issue when an ink runs out will the printer still let you print? its a pain when all you want to do is print text but the Yellow or magenta is empty an will only print after replacement, can you advise? cheers Matt
Hi no you will need all your ink levels high enough to print each color.
I've not been able to find anything in the specs for the eco-tanks, but do any do rear-feed? I've got an Expression xp-6100 which is a great machine and nice print quality, but lately has been jamming when printing on printable vinyl (never had this issue previously) and rear-feeding apparently overcomes this.
I'm pretty sure the Epson ET-2760 has rear paper feed.
there are very few of the eco epson tanks that have rear feeding. I need rear feeding for use with my cricut maker machine
Does anyone know if the ET-4760 can scan double sided? I very much like the ability to use the Auto Doc Fed and have it scan both sides at the same time.
i love our Epson ET-3760 it cost $270 but worth it! been using almost a year now and never experience any problem
Was it new? Epson selling refurbished one $300 now!
Awesome!
Just a word of caution ----- You had better not let the Epson 2720 sit for a long time without printing all colors or the ink heads will clog up!!!!! Mine has all colors only black still works.
Of our printer is not going to be used for a while - what should we do?
@@davebean2886 All I can suggest is print something ever day or so to keep the heads open.
@@tooneboone3869 hmmm .. so maybe buy a laser printer?

Can any of the ecoTanks print onto DVD's & Blu Ray? Can you tell me the model number of it please..I currently have the Epson XP 6000 but the machine takes ages to print things off or just doesn't bother, saying has my network changed or is my printer on. Stupid things like that because 2 hrs ago it was working.
This is the video I have been searching for. Thank you.
On the 2720 model, you mention an attachment for automatic feed that sits on top.
You called this a “super tank”.
What is the actual name and cost of this.
Could you give a link?
The super tanks are the Hp version of the bottle based printers.
Thank you very much for such precious information. Wow
Anyone know why the 2720 would randomly quit printing teal? All other colors work great (yellow, green, blue, red, black, etc.) except teals come out blue not greenish/blue. She uses it for sublimation and has had no issues for 3 months except randomly yesterday. We did all of the cleanings like nozel, head, and power. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
You will need to run a power cleaning, if that doesnt work you may want to consider using the Best Printers Cleaning kit, geni.us/wArXsZT
What do you think about the Epson 3843 model i see lots of mixed reviews of all of these Eco tank printers i find sometimes the lower price ones have more bad reviews
It should be good, if anything get a 4850 model.
The epson smart panel cant print the attached MS Word document in my email.. I had to convert it to PDF just to be able to print it. Is there a way to be able to print MS word easily with the epson smart panel?
The app says in order to print word or excel with the epson smart panel app, choose the horizontal scroll menu.
And there was no horizontal scroll menu or whatsoever
Printing ms word with ecotank is a bit of a hassle having a need to use a laptop to convert word to pdf instead of printing it as msword by itself.
Printer doesnt support airprint as well.. could’ve been easier with it.
I bought a a ET 3750 still full of ink. Printed great but used it for a year and gives me. A false paper jam. Paid almost 600 dollars at best buy. Epson will not cover after year warranty. Don't know was very disappointed. Have to find a place to see if they could fix it. Just purchased another Epson but it's an ET 4700 and I'm trying to figure out how to print photos from my phone. It always says wrong paper size or only prints top photo. I still have my 3750 paid a lot for it and hoping it won't cost a lot to fix.
I have two computer and two printer (epson xp-820-(xp-7100-new) I was using a (a/b) switch for one printer but we need a better one I need to have a switch so I can go from a/b computer to print do you have a cable connect two printer to one or have a new a/b connect to and have the computer connect and then use the (box) to switch to what printer I want?
Both printers have Ethernet interfaces, so just connect everything together via a router.
Hey sir, I have an Epson ET2720 printer and whenever I print, the ink evaporates from the paper in just minutes. What could be the problem.
could you pls do a review the ecotanks vs the epson sublimation printer. crafters are confused. they don’t understand the printer head , droplets vs what a sublimation can print and why its better. thx
let me know and i will share.
a lot of the crafters are buying the eco tanks and load sublimation ink. which ruins the ink heads.
I will mention it in my upcoming video!
I got a question does the epson ecotank et-4760 print A3 paper?
Does it have some sort of DRM in which i have to sign up online and it be controlled online?
Hello I have a ectotank 2760 and keep getting paper jam error W01 can you help me with this please
How would you compare them with the et-7700
I just bought a ET-2760 and found out after trying everything I could that it WILL NOT PRINT on a pre-printed paper. Even after checking with Epson customer support. Now you may ask, why would I want to print on a pre=printed page? It is a way I have developed as way to do a fill in forms that I need to do.
Thank you for sharing.
Very helpful. I’m trying to figure out which to invest in for my business between the 2720 and 2803 . Thanks !
Thank for the comment, the 2850 would be best.
@@BestPrinters i hear if you get the 2850 it prints more black print then color ones .Is that right. Also the ones that say they use ALEXA does that mean i have to buy something separate? Thanks
Hi Brandon. Great video. I have the ET3760. The ADF is only pulling one (1) page (not the full multi-page document.) It is also creating a line down the entire document PDF when the ADF is used. Do you have a resource or advice to repair that issue?
Hi, I am not sure on this one. If the ADF is not functioning properly you may just need a new printer.
Which Epson et printers use the Durabrite Ink?
I have noticed some of the printer's descriptions mentioned the "Heat Free Technology". Do you know if does every Epson printer comes with this or only some of them? Thank you.
Hi Vicky, that is a good question I would have to get back to you on that.
@@BestPrinters Thank you. I appreciate that. I know Epson advertisement shows that this "Heat Free Technology" makes an Epson inkjet printer a better choice against the Laser printers because the 2 moments a Laser printer has to warm up during the printing process but I haven't been able to find out if all of them has it? Thank you.
Great review. With the Epson software are you not able to select the file name before scanning on the 3710/3760?
wow you said these are residential and a low end of the eco tanks however Costco has the ET-2760 with the feeder and can print double sided, wifi etc. for $250 hmmmm!!! If you need a high usage printer I would go with an Epson EcoTank the ink should be cheaper over the long run.

Hi there! HELP!!! Can somebody tell me if that printer is good for heat transfers pls! Cause we are not going to work for sublimation, only heat transfer. Thanks!

I just got an eco-print. I filled the tanks but never got the prompt to charge the ink. I've pressed every button looking for another way to charge but I've had not luck. Nothing prints. how do I charge the ink??
Within the settings is where you will find the option to fill the ink.
When one or all of the tanks are empty, can you still use the scanner? Also if only one color is empty can you still print (black)?

I just want to know if it's going to last over a year or break itself like every other printer, don't care about alexa or anything else really just a working reliable printer is so much to ask nowadays though
In a world full of shit made in China, guess so.
Seriously. Which printers will simply print wirelessly and won’t break for several years?!
I agree, it seems like the manufactures of these printers build them to only last a few years. Their sales must be hurting and since they have been way over charging for ink, now figured out they can discount the ink (and still make a profit on ink) to sell printers, a Loss Leader. The problem I see is that the ink will outlast the printer. I have a perfectly excellent HP printer, very low use, but can’t find my OEM install disc to get the drivers, after Dell crashed my PC. Now I have a door stop.
I'm using Epson older Japanese version, bought them secondhand and it's working great. Newer Epson model seems to be not durable as older model.
I'd recommend L1300 or L1800. It does not have wireless connection as well as the speed is a bit slower.

Sorry that happened, you'll want to look for a local technician. I can't really give a recommendation as I'm not sure where you are located.
These are still inkjet printers are they not and subject to clogging, smearing, etc. ?
Sounds to me this Eco tank technology only gives you a bigger ink tank so that you don't run out of ink as often.
Questions:
1. How much does a refill ink bottle cost as compared to a refill cartridge?
2. I seldom do any printing...for sure I'll be printing my annual taxes though...if i print or scan so infrequently...will the ink in the tanks dried up due to the infrequent use?
3. Am i better off going to a laser printer due to the infrequent usage?
Two features that I look for that one has to do a deep dive to figure out in comparing. It scans, yes. But does it do 2 sided scanning automatically? It prints two sided. But does it do it automatically?? Epson doesn't even have a feature comparison where you can find this stuff out quickly...
True you have to do a lot of digging
QUESTION !! Does the eco tank work well for photography enlargements ?
Absolutely not.
Try the Canon TS 9521C, geni.us/CANONTS9521C
They can print 8.5x11 and you can cut it down to 8x10 by hand, or print borderless 4x6 etc but it won't do bordlerless 8.5x11. HOWEVER for a compromise design, glossy photo prints aren't bad - they're just marred by the little roller marks all down the paper. For matte paper of heavier weight it actually holds it's own given how cheap the prints are. I just bought the epson 8850 and it has the 6 tank claria system and 13x19's look surprisingly good. It is marketed as 'lab quality print' on the box and it's a game changer for those of us sick of the refilling cartridge game.
Watching should I purchase I only do just for a quick photos documents and scanning photos that’s all I need? Thanks
If you wont need to use the printer much I would buy an inexpensive Hp envy.

I had a bubble jet printer that lasted me 25 years! I had to retire it because the newer computers don’t support it. But these modern printers are bad quality and don’t last.
I was thinking the same thing, I have an Epson RX580 I bought in 2008 and was looking at the Epson 4760 at Best buy and WOW the new printer is so flimsy and cheap, the bed twist and feels like cheap plastic where as mine is solid hard thick heavy plastic.
