remember when you beat wizpig thinking you finished the game then the lighthouse turns into a spaceship and a whole new space world is unlocked! underated one of the best story racing games of all time🚀🚀🚀
I still remember that moment too. It took me a lot of tries to what I thought was the final race, so I spent months playing Battle Mode with my friends, then someone went back and beat Wizpig and we all freaked out seeing we had new tracks to race!
and a lot more was planned out for this game BUT when Banjo game was delayed, they had to push harder to get the game ready for christmas holidays. Like within game's files you can find a lot unused stuff, including 3 unused tracks (one of them pretty much close to complete). I think had they been given more time, the game would been longer, though still no matter what, this game is my childhood, Wizpig first race felt so hard to beat but worth it
I remember one time at my friend's house, we just all stood around their piano and progressively spent hours trying to learn the melody of this tune. But since we didn't have drums, we just imitated the percussion by slapping our hands on a dining table, another of us clapping, and two more of us taking an end of the piano each. Gotta say, when we finally got to the breakdown at 0:45, we thought we were absolute maestros. We were actually just nerdy 15 year olds, but hey. It was a win in our book.
@@Marigio300X I didn't unlock it when I was a child. I think I already went to university, when I unlocked it. I was surprised there was a whole new world. But the tracks I didn't know as a kid are still some of the best. It's not just nostalgia.
After passing through the Rainbow Cave and running up the hill, you will make many right-angled curves as you drive through a futuristic city that does not exist in 2024. Even after 27 years, I still can't forget that beautiful sight. The brothers in the comments section here feel the same way, don't they?
Underrated games tend to be one of the best games. I was literally crying while listening to these soundtracks today because I remember those nostalgia times when I had so much playing this game with my siblings cousins and friends all at once. But yeah this is actually a good soundtrack ost for a 1997 game.
@@justdrumline6805 personally, I have no nostalgia for diddy kong racing. I only played the DS port for a little bit when I was very young and nothing more. and I don't even think I reached the star city track. but man, this soundtrack. it's amazing.
@@estabravo that would be awesome, and I would love to see other people get their first taste of DKR, but personally I have no intentions to buy the NSO expansion.
Me and my siblings used to play hide n seek is a majority of the maps, but our favorites was the space maps such nostalgia in these sooongs yo like come oooon
I love this game i got it from a trade and i remember when me and my friend played it everyday and beat it. I lost contact with him since 11yrs old and never seen him again since then.
Oh man, this theme just MAKES me wanna go back in time and replay all my childhood games! I want to feel that emotion of excitement again! But I can't...but atleast I was able to experience that.
Oh how I wish I could go back! I was lucky, I was born in 2002, a long while after the N64's prime, but it was the console my mother had, so she gave it to me and my brother when we were five. I was growing up with N64 games in 2008. Blessed.
Bro We Still Have All The Consoles Since We Was Kids, I Was Born in 92 So We Still Got The SNES, N64 , GameCube, PS1 PS2, & XBOX, Sege Genesis & Sega Dreamcast With All The Classics Games On Each Console 🗣️💯
Here's a nostalgia trip idea: How would you feel if they actually got around to making Banjo-Threeie... _And you heard this theme as you discovered Star City is the midpoint level?_
This tune is so triumphant, a perfect fit for your final 3 laps agsinst the other racers. And then when you hit lap 3 and the 10% speed increase hits and your heart goes. Damn, I love this game.

I love this comment :) What a fun time that must have been!
Future Funland has gotta have the best songs in the whole game imo
Considering how hard you had to work to unlock them, it had to.

Yes and racing in space has to be one of the best things to happen in the game

this game has such an underrated OST, and this is why

I see the term "underrated" has lost it's true definition

One of the best soundtracks ever.
God I love this song so much. Everything about it is absolutely gorgeous

Never gonna happen. After that nuts and bolts crap killed everything.

A lot of franchises have been getting revivals, so I would wager the bear and bird may get their chance.
0:25 almost Gangplank Galleon lol
Lap 1, Lap 2, FINALL LAPP!!!! Good memories ❤

This also plays in Spacedust Alley......

Got this shit for my tenth birdthday. God, I'm old.
0:24 mi parte favorita
The first 10 seconds sounded like the Alien Girls from Popee the Performer
"You don't collected the 1-Up..."
YOU ARE THE 1-UP
0:10 is it just me or this part kinda sounds like the futurama intro theme
Just you
I hear it! the intervals are kinda similar but it's a slightly different beat
Still the greatest video game song of all time.
a cartridge full of magic
this game had the best music of all time
Star City & Spacedust Alley
that 80s vibes its just glorius.
1:10
1:13
Absolute banger
This freaking song is the best
I forgot what a jam this is
Best part is 1:10
Does 0:45 remind anyone else of butterfly by smile, or is it just me?
So catchy
Mario Kart is legit but in 64, DKR took 🥇
I never knew how to go to space
Touch the beach sign after you've gotten 1st place on all 4 trophy races and beaten Wizpig in the car race.
Un minuto de silencio por todas aquellas personas que pensaron que se podía entrar en el túnel del tren
Jajaja ahuevo que lo intentamos
Spaceport Alpha 2
Sounds like the interstellar theme from Samsung
:)
I'll be honest, I hated those space levels.
