  • In this episode, meet a culinary legend in Arizona’s Black community and the grandson who followed in her footsteps. We’ll also introduce one of the earliest Black businesspeople in Arizona. This is the story of three entrepreneurs - Elizabeth White, Larry White, Jr., and Lincoln Ragsdale, Jr., who became successful when it seemed nearly impossible for Black Arizonans to carve out a place in business.

It was a sad segment. Unfortunately, there was no financial progress provided, no data to support their statements. Today, the wealth gap collectively for blacks is massive comparatively to the other POC as especially comparatively to Asian Indians and White people.

This segment was so sad; no discussion about reparations for black native descendants of chattel slavery in Arizona and they didn't feature any black scientists, IT engineers, finance/business attorneys nor civil rights attorneys to discuss this topic.
