Can you hear yourself? Do you know how many mighty and more beautiful buildings in the world? This doesn't come close! Do you that the world largest cathedral in not at the Vatican but at Yamoussoukro in Cote D'voire. How many tourists does it attract? $400m? No wonder Ghana is heavily in debt.

@@Frank-Bediko62 Please read well and around the topic before you respond. Who talked about a beautiful building? The point is, It’s just not a cathedral building, it has a baptistery, bible museum, wailing wall, biblical garden etc and it’s not a regular cathedral but an artistic one. If you can’t understand it is a unique tourist attraction, well, that’s not my problem.

It will draw more people to the area and generate money on its own. Much like that monument in Senegal draws people from around the world to see it,they have already paid back money for it. So it’s a worthy project as it will generate visitors into the area which translates to extra dollars into local economy. On another note,Ivory Coast spent over a billion dollars to build infrastructure for AFCON,the tournament has been such a runaway success they will easily recoup back their money and more.

when jubilee hse was been built, some people told Ghanaians that it's a useless project n will even convert it into a poultry farm when they win power. Jubilee hse was fortunately built n the same group who said they will use it for poultry farm are the one who occupied it has chick's. That's how God works. They even went ahead n changed the name from jubilee hse to Flagstaff house. God will always be the winner

Yeah, I reckon that the money spent on a sky train instead would’ve brought more money to the area, but then at the end of the day when St Paul’s Cathedral was built in London, I’m sure there were many impoverished people living right around it. It’s a very popular attraction though.

What foreigners see is the vanity and short-sightedness of African leaders. They will not tell you this,of course. In their private conversations, they marvel at the mismatched priorities in sharp contrast to the grinding poverty they see around them. The Christian God is not a God of grandiose temples and grand gestures. He is a God of humility and servitude. From a Kenyan brother to my Ghanian friends.

If you're a Christian,I'm sure you might have read about Solomon's temple.
This project is more than just a temple,it comprises a whole lots of other edifices to make it an attractive tourist destination.
When it is completed and puts Ghana another step ahead in the limelight, don't envious.
We don't care much about what foreigners think about us but are concerned with what will make our country great in the midst of these challenges.
When the work is done the concept will be well understood. So my Kenyan brother,if you have anything to do pray for it's completion to join us celebrate it's success.

This was conceived because one per promised God that if he won he will use the resources of Ghana to build a cathedral. What kind of arrogance it.
