How to sync audio and video in iMovie in 2022

I will show you how to put your audio and video together in the latest version of iMovie in 2022. First create a project in iMovie and drag your video clip into your timeline. Hello, I can detach audio from video. Is there a way to attach it back? I often need to substitute the audio file and then cut it. It’s not comfortable to cut a file with detached video and audio. You have to cut video, then audio then sync them. Big headache.

Yeah but if you’re speaking directly into the camera you mouth will be out of time with the audio

Can you do this on iPad? Specifically iPad Generation 7. My computer is crashed so I unfortunately can't use that.

I think it's possible if you can get the audio file from your lapel mic into the files section of your iPad. But that will take some special adaptors without a computer. I just tried it and was able to get multiple audio tracks moving around on my iPad. I had to click the white button at the bottom the screen that said "foreground" to get my imported audio file to move around the timeline.
