Why do you keep the turing machine when you got chance??? Because of _your_ videos i was gonna replace the turing machine with chance. I've got the expanders (volts, pulses), but its taking up so much space... I was hoping chance would be a good downsizing. Would i be terribly wrong?

+Stephan Möbius I still use both (sometimes in conjunction with each other) and would recommend both, but have not used the TM expanders before. Chance does fit a lot in a small package though, and I use it in 99% of patches. The Turing Machine’s selling point for me is the ability to repeat randomness. So I’d say they’re both great but slightly different, and definitely worth trying out Chance as it transformed my patching immensely. Hope that helps!

Thanks a lot. Doh, i thought Chance can also be made to repeat its pattern. I wouldn't wanna loose that feature either. (The O_C has a mode with 4(!) bit shift registers, that work exactly like Tom Whitwells TM - with quantization on top...). Then again the TM is so hands on - i highly recommend the voltages-expander instead of the volts. The added signal AND INVERTED(!) signal, with its scale and shift knobs gives you _a lot_ more control over the modulation! Neat detail: the sliders have a notch in center position - i quickly learned that i more easily get "related" values from just using the left-most, right-most and center-positon.
