Title Defense King Hippo defeated with his manhole cover on

A friend of mine asked if this was even possible. Of course, I said no but upon further reflection, I wanted to give this idea a shot and constructed a strategy that works!
In Phase 1 I wanted to get to his lunge attack as soon as possible so I can get 2 face punches instead of only 1. I also made sure to intentionally waste hearts so he can reset his pattern and throw 2 lunge attacks afterward.
Rounds 2 and 3 will start you off with fewer hearts, however, so you'll have to be a little more careful. At the end of the fight, I made sure to get knocked down intentionally so I can take advantage of his 2 lunge attacks at the start. Unsure if it's possible to go w/out champions mode for this challenge but I took advantage of it anyway to make the ending a bit easier. Round 3 is the ideal place to do it so you won't mess up your heart counter in Rounds 1 and 2.

d00d1690 has a Punch Out Wii hack video and one of the clips was 3-star punching TD Hippo with his manhole on, and thus causing a KO to play out with his manhole cover on. That part was technically no secret but I wanted to see if it was possible to get the KO with the manhole still on without hacks/cheats.
