I just received mine today. You can really tell the difference with a ‘regular’ Demon Drive pedal. The pedal feels really well balanced. For me it was worth the upgrade

wow. Since DW sold the company it seems like Pearl has been taking years of innovation that had not been disclosed yet and have unleashed so many new items onto the market. My next kit will be a Pearl kit for sure. I'm pumped to try these pedals as well.

Can you alternate pedals from double pedal to Two Singles?
All of the Demon Family Pedals (XR, Chain, & Direct Drive) are modular and can be converted from a double to two single pedals.

I bought my Axis pedals in 2004 and I still use them. Right out of the box...never adjusted anything on them...ever.
I wonder if these pedals can hold the test of time like that.

Could I take one bitter and put it in the other pedal in the DOUBLE pedals ? Because some times I want to change for one bass drum to two bass drums and I love to feel two different bass drums and sounds.

Has anyone here purchased the Demon XR? Out of the box I feel like i need to increase the spring tension but its incredibly hard to tighten. I can't even do it with my fingers...any suggestions?

wait the red clippy thing is for the tool? If those little screws that the tool can turn were just 1/16 of an inch longer you could mount Footblaster triggers in the slots. Even though you'd have to lift up the pedal to adjust it. Still a whole lot easier than scraping off the double sided sticky tape and re-taping every time. Such a missed opportunity. Or even better yet make a plastic cradle to hold a Footblaster and slide it up and down the slots. Ugh back to sticky tape.
So you produced 15 pedals overall or what? Da hell it's out of stock everywhere?

The Demon Series pedals (Drive, Chain, and XR) are modular, so you can easily switch a double to two singles... lefty to righty or righty to lefty.

I think its safe to say that Axis screwed up by not staying relevant.
I've been a hair guitar player since 1985 when I was 15. The technical plus feel of a George Lynch, Warren DeMartini, Neal Schon, Mark Kendall, Jake E. Lee, etc is absolutely awe inspiring. Shred, which is so popular now, has none of it. It's all technique. Sweep picking, skipping, and economy picking, just to name a few. Seems to have no feeling. You will never hear the feeling of Still They Ride by Neal Schon in a shred piece. Even Neo-Classical of Jngwie Malmsteen has emotion. Shred guitar is incredibly difficult to master, but it is tedious to listen to. The horrific sound of a
7 string guitar is a whole 'nother rant. After approximately two minutes, one is frantically searching for an unsteady chair and some rope. Same for death or speed metal. That constant 800 bpm double bass and snare is tolerable for thirty seconds, max. Other than mastering the technique, I can't see why anyone would want to participate in that kind of "music." I'll take a Tommy Aldridge, Vinny Appice, or Neil Peart. The pedal is cool, though. 😁
