I’m a lawyer, and that post was a joke from a legal perspective like most cease and desist letters. ‘course, she can’t cease and desist over in the UK. she’s embarassing herself.
Also mythos is right, if she did try to claim defamation, she would need to prove that what mythos said is a lie 😂
So many flaws with the legal aspects. Cease and desist is a formal warning to stop illegal acts. Mythos is doing nothing illegal. They can’t go for defamation because as everyone has stated the statements or claims must be false. It’s not harassment unless it repeated Or continuous uninvited contact. As far as I know Mythos is not calling or contacting them personally through phone, text or social media in an aggressive fashion meant to intimidation or interfere.
Since they called him out personally saying many things that are untrue that are meant to be damaging to his reputation… he does have a case. So… interesting where this will go from here. We stand with you Mythos.

The conjuring house has lost almost all of its original appeal as an historic haunted house and now has the aura of a corporate enterprise, complete with bad staging (Raggedy Ann dolls and Ouija boards as far as the eye can see) a cheap lounge act in Cody and Satori and an overbearing CEO who sends out cease and desist letters to those whom she considers a threat to her business. Jacqueline Nunez's public meltdown should provide continuing entertainment, though.

I lost all respect for the conjuring house when I saw Sam and Colby visit when Cody and Santori were like "Watch us! Watch us! We can communicate with the dead if we touch our hands like this!". It was so bad. I used to sit on the edge of my seat whenever someone went there and talked about what happened with the Warrens. But now I just scroll past it. Not to mention, it costs $1,000 a person to visit, f that.
One thing I wondered about was the fact that she makes people sign a waiver which allows her to decide if their content can be released or not. Is that really legal? I would have thought that as the owner of the film you would have more rights to what goes in your production.

You want someone to show you their cards? Ask them and by their response you can get a feel of their legitimacy. They calmly and confidently pull out evidence to openly show you the truth? Or do they immediately attack you personally, change the subject, try to turn the tables to make you the bad actor, you the aggressor, you the liar? If you have nothing to hide you don’t have to freak out and attack the inquiring party. Psychopaths and sociopaths are sadly a dime a dozen, they feel they have no agency or personal power and the only way they’ll survive “the big scary world”, is by “outsmarting” every one that crosses their path. They feel no remorse, shame, embarrassment, etc…because they’re “superior” to us dummies, so trying to get justice is futile. While we would have faces burning with shame, they feel only regret…that they got caught. My girlfriend and I were in town a few month's ago to go visit the house and had reservations, but somehow got canceled around 2-3 in the morning, and when i got the email saying that they canceled on us the day of, we were pretty upset about not being able to go. But now, after seeing what has happened to the place and the CZcamsrs making a mockery of the history, I'm glad we didn't get to go.

I'm here in the US and yes that's what they LOVE to do, threat or attempt to sue someone either because they try to put fear in the other person hoping they will back off OR they don't know exactly "what" they are sueing for exactly and will try to find "something" to follow through with the lawsuit.
Lastly, yes they could have something completely legit to sue someone for, HOWEVER, in this case, and I'm no lawyer, you are completely in your CZcams rights and have not done or said anything that goes against YT violations which she would have to actually use against you. 🤣 If YT hasn't flagged you, what makes her think she could get you in trouble for something that wasn't violated?
Also, yes she could try to sue you for "defamation" but that's only if you were spreading lies with "NO FACTS OR EVIDENCE" and it's clear that the same evidence you were presented with and the thousands of other people have seen as well, (your followers) is enough to back up your claims ESPECIALLY since you have evidence from even BEFORE the conjuring of him / them using the same exact tactics.

Like I said on Bad2TheBoneParanormal's channel, it's literally in the name of paranormal INVESTIGATOR. As an investigator of any kind, you need to ask questions, look closely, and determine the fact from fiction. What she has done is try and pivot from that, by saying we just need to accept what C&S do is real, and not question her nor them. Yes, you can believe in the paranormal, and not ask questions about what you experience, but that also means you are open to being lied to, mislead or taken advantage of. Well said Mythos, a very measured and calm response.
Cody and Satori both have repeatedly said they don't accept money, yet on their web site it says "email for pricing," and they're represented by an entertainment agency. Frauds.

I feel mostly bad for sam and Colby. I think they genuinely did want to believe it was real and that’s why their videos on it are the way they are, but I’ve noticed in their most recent videos they and their friends are making jokes in reference to the knocking stuff Cody and satori were doing, and I genuinely think what this guy is saying about the owner of the conjuring house sending out cease and desist stuff and threats are why Sam and Colby haven’t done anything other than jokes about the knocking.

This must be said. The statement repeated by everyone including the debunking community “They don’t owe anything to anyone.” Correct on a personal level only. No one owes anyone anything. However, if you are stating that you are a (insert profession here) of any kind this usually comes with a standard of credibility, liability, responsibility and standard of practice to uphold. I mean if you are a surgeon you definitely have to prove your abilities by demonstrating practice through years of schooling then observation, then practice under the authority of a trusted surgeon. I’m not saying that this has as many consequences as being put under the knife. But if you look at any job the criteria is the same. You must prove your ability to stand in the position, be tested and pass assessments, get licensed… etc. Now at the very least they claim to be paranormal investigators. I think many people don’t find credibility in that title because of people like this. How is the title given? How is the profession claimed? Most that I know, even if they stand up and prove that they are credible and reliable as a paranormal investigator; have not gone to college or trade school for paranormal science and research. They do not have a license. There is no public standard for such a title. And such a title is a self proclamation or given by default by being a part of a group the studies the paranormal field. There are some that do truly have a legitimate claim by way of being part of groups upheld by collages or other scientific research organizations. Being that the field is so unregulated nearly anyone can make claim of paranormal investigator. Let me assure you if you are an investigator in any other field that is not true. Even private investigators have a strict code and laws they must abide by by as well as a test that must be passed so that you prove you are aware of standard of practice and laws of private investigating.
Why is all this important? They claim to be paranormal investigators. Not just paranormal investigators but paranormal investigators with an extraordinary ability to communicate with the dead. So yes. If they want to continue to claim this profession. They do owe proof of credentials and credibility. Any real paranormal investigator is very scientific by nature. Is someone that is a debunker by nature. Has to rule out every possibility and question to dean something as outside of the normal parameters of the known and natural world. Has to look at extraordinary claims with a skeptical eye and mindset. To rule out every single possibility other than the unexplainable.
So when Satori scoffs and says “IF we do this without shoes etc, people will look for other explanations.” Yes. Yes they will Satori. That is exactly right. That is the job of and true paranormal investigator in paranormal research. To rule out every explanation. And when every possible explanation is exhausted then it can be labeled as something that is unexplained or having no known explanation. And thus can move onto the next set of experiments looking for answers as to a possible reason for why, what or how such an abnormality is occurring.
So in conclusion. Yes. They do owe this as a part of their title and job. Otherwise they should just call a spade a spade. You are not a paranormal couple. You are not paranormal investigators. Just some people who claim to talk to the dead. With no verification of said abilities.

But honestly with the amount of drama in this field I feel that this applies across the board to anyone. So I may be releasing a video on this topic. It may lightly cover CAS but for the most part I think we can all do better.
I read she has a law degree, but did not want to be a lawyer, so she went into real estate / property development instead. I did not read where she took the Bar exam. Good thing, I say, since she does not know what defamation is, nor what legally defines it. I have never met Nikola Tesla, but I can know all about him and his marvelous work, just by using my God-given brain. I didn't have to be there with him, in person, to understand his experiments and what he was trying to develop and accomplish. That lady is in damage control and worried about her "Golden Goose" becoming sterile.
