We came from a time period where women prided themselves on being able to cook, being a great mother, knowing how to sew, knowing how to bake, being good at managing the household and SAVING MONEY (imagine that) WANTING to look good for her husband and trying to make her husband feel like a man and supporting him to be such. THAT was the example that we were taught and observed growing up! And couples did everything they could do to stay married because they loved their kids more than themselves!
Were ALL MEN good men back then? NO! Were ALL women so domesticated? Not always, but the roles were clearly defined. There was a definite template. And we observed other's that lived by the vows of "for better or for WORSE" "in SICKNESS and in health" for "Richer or POORER". And sometimes WIVES (not some new girlfriend) waited years till her HUSBAND could afford a ring with one diamond in it. And she was soooo grateful when she got one. And if she didn't, she never complained or used comparisons of what her friends had to make him feel pressured.
Not trying to be an old fuddy duddy, but this generation is so screwed!!! You remember, how couples were totally okay struggling financially in the beginning because they worked as a team to create something. And oftentimes those were viewed as the best YEARS of their relationship! EVERYONE knew the saying "Behind every successful man is a good woman". And both husband and wife were proud of that. A man opened the doors for a woman, not because he was trying to prove that he was stronger, but because he had respect for her. So many things that are now looked down upon as being out of touch.
Being raised the way we were and having the mindsets we do, did you EVER IMAGINE a time when a 22 year old female would be delusional enough to believe that she is entitled to have EVERYTHING NOW?! To not know how to cook but rather be treated to fine dining all the time, so she can show it off, calling herself a "foodie". Did you imagine a time when they would not want to save money but rather spend AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE? A time when females would expect to have fancy EXOTIC cars, travel by private jet, have the most expensive purses and designer clothes, go on trips around the world to the top resorts. And all of this by 25 years old if not by 22. And guys.... try to oblige them! Like what the heck?
And btw, if a guy has manners it's like "how dare you insinuate that I can't get my own door". They would have you emasculate yourself to the point of thinking how a woman thinks. Nothing wrong with women, but men don't think like women! Real men, anyways. But they want you to always agree with them, and certainly never stand up like a man. Though you have to, for them to respect you.
Part of the problem is that guys have so little self control and thus are so horny that they will throw any money they have just to impress these girls. Girls that much of the time have snotty, spoiled, arrogant personalities, and wear the most provocative clothing in their PUBLIC profiles, just for you to know that you better have lots of money if you want to be worthy enough to even say hello.
