Former gang member says he was targeted for leaving

- He was first shot and then a couple of days later robbed. He said it is for wanting to get out of a gang. Now Atlanta Police are offering a big reward to help capture the gang member who pulled the trigger.
The 22-year-old is upfront about getting out of gang life but that has turned out to be easier said than done.
“They jumped me. I was walking to the store,” said Brantley, who was jumped two days later.
Brantley said he was robbed while walking down the street not far from his home in northwest Atlanta in August. A couple of days earlier, Brantley said he was pushed into a car at gunpoint at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex and driven elsewhere.
“Get me out of the car. He pistol-whipped me, moved me away from the car, shoot me in the leg,” said Brantley.
Atlanta Police told FOX 5 News Antiba Daniel, who was with another man, ‘Big Dog,’ pulled the trigger.
APD identified them as members of the gang SEX-Money-Murder or MOB who retaliated against Brantley when he said he wanted out.
“I just realize nobody was really loyal to me like they said they were so I have to move myself from the situation,” said Brantley.
Police hope a $2,000 Crime Stoppers reward will lead them to arrest Antiba Daniel.
The 22-year-old is now back home with his real family, his mom, and dad after a few years of gang life.
“We’ll keep pushing him to keep doing the right thing and don’t waiver and feel like he have to go back and backslide,” said Tarnesha Taliaferro, his mother.
Which the 22-year-old said won’t happen because he has a 6-month-old daughter now and education and job prospects.
“You can get out you can change your life around no matter low how you go it’s not too late to do the right thing,” said Brantley.
He told FOX 5 News he had a job interview on Thursday. Atlanta Police ask anyone with information on the whereabouts of Antiba Daniel to call them or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.

I applaud Tyson's courage for speaking to the news, as this is a first step to bringing awareness to this gang and where those criminals lurk and work.
