    Thank you for the video. I watched another video and he left the parking brake on and the rear wheel bearings still came loose and out no problem. I will try that and combine your tutorial. Thanks again!

    Great video, I just did mine on a 2018 Sport AWD. The 4 bolts were a pain, found it best to get under the car so I could see them and use the correct extensions to get at them. No need to take the breaks apart, wasn't necessary. Clamped a monkey wrench to the hub and pushed down to get it off, was seized into the plate too, just needed to be hammered out. Last, just use the axle nut to hold the bearing and backing plate into place, then you can easily screw in the 4 bolts into the new hub.

    When you do the springs for the brakes (if you decide to take them off), you can bend a small bar into a hook and bend the other end into a handle, use an old spring to pull with or use a piece of 3/16 rope to pull with. It will make it a lot easier, I usually use the rope now and once over the pin just pull the rope out.

    I do understand why you did take off the emergency, allowing you some space to bang it out in case it were really stuck in the knuckle. however it wasn’t that much seized inside, thankfully allowing you to take it out with no problem. Great job !

    Um you DO NOT USE AN IMPACT to tighten axle nut... there is a torque spec to prevent you from crushing the hub this is extremely important!!

    I did mine yesterday. . . The shaft came out merely pushing on it. . yes the 4 holding bolts are a nightmare to remove. . Now I am stock because the Hub/ bearing assembly I got from the online company, , , The box had the right number but what was in the plastic seal bag was the wrong ? ? ? imagine, yu buy a part, receive the right box and in that good box, there is an intirely different . . 3\4 of an hour with the part guy who could not find the envoice number I gave him ? ? ? He was focussed in the idea I made a mistake, buying the wrong part ! ! ! !I told him at least 6 times that I ordered the right part, I receive the right box but in this box, there was a wrong part ! ! ! Then came with a new guy, start all the process over again We will get back to you tomorrow. . . This morning, a new guy and we start all the process another time 🤨 The 30mm bolt is torqued at 180 ft / pound. . . . The 4 bearing/hub assembly; what torque does it need ?

    • @jjmoe
      @jjmoe  Před 3 měsíci

      Sorry about your case, about the bearing torque i dont remember torquing it i think i just tighten it

      @@jjmoe In the 1950, if you wanted to "boost' a Harley Davidson; first step, take the engine appart, re-assemble it with a torque wrench at the specific value and it would be stronger and faster than all other like him. .

    Just a fyi. Cv joints will never sound like a wheel bearing. They make a click click click sound. Bearings sound like choppy tires. Otherwise all good
