I must confess, as an early 80s born guy, I have so much to update myself on the Mario Franchise... Until this day in December 2022, I had never heard of, let alone played this game before... But it certainly gives me such huge nostalgic vibes about Super Mario World, which I spent so much time in the mid 90s playing, and is my favourite Mario of all time... It really feels like an updated version of Super Mario World...
little tip: if you reach the flag at the end of the level when the timer in the top right has the same tens and ones number (ex. 299,288,277,166,155, 144), you will get fireworks that has the same number (ex. you reach at 133 you get three fireworks), and then, toad will give you a power up. This is shown accidently at some times, but you can test it. Just wait at the flag until the tens and ones number is the same, and you get a free power up!
And the higher numbers give better power ups, for the most part. I think 99 gives a star, compared to a regular mushroom for 11.

I believe the last Mario Bros. game I played was Super Mario World. The last time I saw someone playing another version, it might’ve been Super Mario Galaxy, which, to me, was stunning. I have to say, though, the colors and gradients in this particular game are unbelievably gorgeous.
Even though the ‘New’ series is (ironically) kind of stale at this point due to how many reused stuff they have, these are still amazing standalone games, as long as you don’t put the other ones into consideration.

I still am going to watch all of this even though I watched through all of your Wii U play through recently, because the truth is, I love your content. Fun fact: In Meringue Clouds Boarding the Airship, It is possible to beat Bowser Jr. in one hit by collecting the second flag, losing to him at least once, and using a Super Star item. The effect of the Super Star lasts just long enough to be able to run into Bowser Jr. and instantly beat him.

'Pendulum Castle' was the most difficult level to complete with 3 coins... getting the 3rd coin in time was insane. 'Swim for Your Life!' was the only level I completed with Nabbit though I didn't know you can use the big fish to eat enemies, instead it kept eating me, so I might try again with Mario. And 'Follow That Shell!' was fun trying to figure out. Finally finished the game with all star coins collected. Thanks NintendoCentral for helping me find the coins I couldn't find on my own.

The New Super Mario Bros series will obviously never live up to the classics, but they're still fun games.
They live up to the standard but aren't as iconic and nostalgic. I've always preferred 3D mario games but super mario bros series is amazing

They may as well call the switch the nostalgia machine. After another failed released date on cyberpunk I decided to buy a family console and got the original switch. This has taken me right back to my childhood playing the nes and snes. I've picked most of the mario games on offer and will be adding this little beauty to my collection.
I need to get a Switch these games are bloody brilliant.

This is the best channel ever
I've thought of introducing young kids and general audiences to the Mario series with this game. The starting difficulty is good for them to go through this whole quest with no frustration as I believe. Also that Peachette transformation does remind me of that character named Mamizou Futatsuiwa for some funny reasons. After all, Nintendo reminds me of Disney.

I like how they took a lot from the original Mario Bros from NES, Mario 3 and Mario World games and basically combined them. Definitely takes me back to my childhood
After playing through the new smb and new smb 2 and after watching most of this video I just realized the koopas are dancing to parts of each stage’s soundtrack......wow
This was my first super mario game and boy, I didn’t know how hard 2d platformer can be.
I had a lot of trouble at the beggining but when a few hours had passed its kinda easy

Memories. I remember when i wanted this game so much and i begged my dad to buy it. He bought it anyway. At first when he saw me playing he said:

But when he heard that You can play in 2 players he really liked to play with me.
Once when i woke up, i think it was 2 am i heard the underwater theme and them when I walked in the living room guess what. My dad was playing on it.

It’s nice seeing the enemies to the beat when the note hits I totally miss this 2:52 from New Super Mario Brothers Wii 2:39 that was my first Mario bros game I’e played when I was born I miss that game I have actually but my Wii broke because off my sister
