Man watching this takes me back to being a kid and playing Super Mario Bros. Wii with my brother and my dad. Oh the memories.

3DS: Most rewards (coins)
3DS(2): Arguably most difficult
Wii U: Speedrunner’s dream
Luigi U: Ctrl c + Ctrl v
Luigi has the same plot it just gives you a challenge so its obvious the developers did not change it. It would be annoying if you had a game over and needed to do those hard levels again.
Can confirm with 3DS(2). Messed up trying to get out with the final moon coin on that level so many times.
For me the best design level is NSMB from DS. And best boss battle is from Wii.

Kinda sad none of them ever re-approached the scope of the DS castle. NSMB2 was cooking with that petrification gimmick though, it’s devious in the secret castle

As lackluster as NSMB2 is, I love how hard the acapella goes in the credits section. Also, Mario carrying Peach like she can't walk on her own is something you hardly ever see lol.

Prexactly, i Remember bein a little lad back in those days. My uncle and aunt were watching me for the summer and we finally got to bowser, that was before any of us knew abt the giga bowser part and my god my little 5 year old brain was going nuts

New super mario bros 2 definitely had the coolest castle, it was long, challenging, and cool. Even though i have never played it the new super mario bros wii definitely had the best boss fight, look amazing

Best: The New Super Mario Bros DS final castle. It fits for the last castle as it's a maze of Burners and ? Switches.
Worst: The New Super Mario Bros U final castle: Too short for a final castle and it didn't have the Castle theme.

I Remember Playing the original back when it came out in 2006 on my DS Lite, love the original New Super Mario Bros. DS 2006, Always will be the best one in my opinion,

New Super Mario Bros Wii has great final boss 👍😁
All of these share a special memory with me and i love each so much.
The Original and Wii version were my favorite as they filled my childhood with perfect memories.
The boss fight in New Sup 2 was easy but god damn seeing bowser in the back gave me chills.
For the Wii U its rather small, I know the console was a flop but I still enjoyed playing on it and I can genuinely keep enjoying it.
NSMB2 final castle with the koopalings was so creative
A lot of DS games don’t really sell for me. NSMB (DS) really held their end of the promise! A kick ass game! I thought it was a DS version of Wii. Only for me to find out it’s a separate different game of its own. It held up very well. It’s in my heart always!
The credits for super Mario bros wii is the best by far
Always thought NSMBU's castle was underwhelming, even as a kid. The DS one is probably the most creative and fun overall.

My theory is that NSMB2 happens before wii even though it came out after so that would mean NSMB2 is a prequel to wii
Unfortunately, it’s been confirmed that the franchise doesn’t actually have a continuity.
NSMB2 is a composite of NSMB DS and NSMB WII

They’re better of played on their respective console, if they were to be on the switch I’d have a feeling of repetitiveness and just feel sad.
I do like what they did with Galaxy, Sunshine and 64 but again I like them better on their consoles.
