LYRICS
Can't make my own decisions
Or make any with precision
Well maybe you should tie me up
So I don't go where you don't want me
You say that I've been changing
That I'm not just simply aging
Yeah how could that be logical?
Just keep on cramming ideas down my throat
You don't have to believe me
But the way I, way I see it
Next time you point a finger
I might have to bend it back
Or break it, break it off
Next time you point a finger
I'll point you to the mirror
If God's the game that you're playing
Well we must get more acquainted
Because it has to be so lonely
To be the only one who's holy
It's just my humble opinion
But it's one that I believe in
You don't deserve a point of view
If the only thing you see is you
You don't have to believe me
But the way I, way I see it
Next time you point a finger
I might have to bend it back
Or break it, break it off
Next time you point a finger
I'll point you to the mirror
This is the last second chance
(I'll point you to the mirror)
I'm half as good as it gets
(I'll point you to the mirror)
I'm on both sides of the fence
(I'll point you to the mirror)
Without a hint of regret
I'll hold you to it
I know you don't believe me
But the way I, way I see it
Next time you point a finger
I might have to bend it back
Or break it, break it off
Next time you point a finger
I'll point you to the mirror
I know you won't believe me
But the way I, way I see it
Next time you point a finger
I might have to bend it back
Or break it, break it off
Next time you point a finger
I'll point you to the mirror - Hudba
The most difficult decision you'll ever make in your life is: what is your favourite Paramore song.
Yaghyaah Anthony Misguided Ghosts
Playing God.
Careful
let em have it L.....wait paramore song?........ most of em are good, none of em clicked with me, i take their issues as a fucking joke compared to mine, but it's good, ill give em that. too each their own.
Brick by boring brick and fences
I'm leaving this comment here so after a month or a year when someone likes it it'll remind me this song again.
rememberrrrr
!
Time to remember
Bump
👋🎶
that iconic volume change at 1:36
It scares me everytime
they did it smoothly fr
I used to think the music player was somehow broken on my first cellphone back in the day
The Spotify version doesn't have it. It's not a mistake on the master recording, but only in the CZcams video, right?
Wao i never noticed it haha
It is just absolutely insane this was 10 years ago... i remember when it came out and I kept it on repeat.... visiting it 10 years later is so so so unreal
Brand new eyes was their best album, literally NO skips
LITRALLYYY
Riot! is my favorite, i literally like every song
I CANT CHOOSE BETWEEN RIOT AND THIS
It was the first album of theirs I listened to, and will always be the one closest to me... These songs mean so much to me they feel like they're a part of who I am, and I will never forget that
Agreed. This the album that got me into them.
"You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you."
Those lyrics are so powerful...especially in times like now, where it seems like the loudest ones are those who constantly complain for themselves and trod upon the silent sufferers.
a year later and its so much worse ego is everywhere manbags fake tan orange faces square drawn on eye brows people have become so artificial and mean they dont have 1-10th of the soul we had in 2009 i just hope theres some real people left somewhere
When I listen to this song, I always think of people on the internet...
No offense, but just saying...
@Rosida Andriyana because its not on the left
@@Mixedbag456 i couldn't giv a shit what you say mate
@Rosida Andriyana maybe, it's british car
Saw Paramore in St. Augustin, FL. Concert was sold out. It is a rare quality of a band to sound as good live as they do recorded. Thanks for the memories ❤
“That I’m not just simply... ✨ASIAN✨
now i can't unhear it
Justo sonó la línea, eres terrible.
I can't unhear it now I hate you and everything you stand for
😂
Takes me back to when I was 14 and I talked about Paramore ALL THE TIME. My Mum said it was phase. 11 YEARS LATER AND I'M STILL A PARAMORE FAN AND i TALK ABOUT THEM JUST AS MUCH AS I DID BACK THEN.
SAME OMG!!! They would scold me if I fangirled too much! But look at me now! Fangirling harder than ever
I’ve been listening to them since 3rd grade lol guess I started my emo phase extra early
Indeed
same feeling
Over 10 years ago I begged my mom to take me to see Paramore, after the show ended she looked at me and said “ I really like this band” I catch her listening to them constantly
Paramore has so many underrated songs. Emergency, When it Rains, Playing God and so much more. Just shows how good paramore is.
64 million views is hardly underrated tho
Another day
They were good with the original band members
Whoa and Franklin
Those are not underrated. Underrated to me are Where The Lines Overlap and Franklin.
I had the privilege to listen to the return of this song here in Peru! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH PARAMORE!
I will always love this album. So timeless. Even the cover art and the title.
As for this song, it came on tonight when i needed it most and I gotta give them praise lol. "Next time you point a finger, I'll point you to the mirror"
Her pink hair was so under-appreciated.
Orange hair is the OG Hayley
ugh and her blue hair she legit can pull it all off
999 likes wow
And looks like candy😄
@@rafiqulislamchoudhury9178 Some cotton candy 🍬🍭 lol 😂😆
The most underrated song (single) of Paramore.
+Mr. Slaking Only for the views? That's no makes sense man xD
+r9o2b0e2r1t7o who said something about the views?
Me... Or tell me the why?
Most underrated Paramore song is undoubtedly Let the Flames Begin
+John Peterson Yes, you're right, I love "Let the flames begin"!!!
“Next time you point a finger, I’ll point you to the mirror.”
Every time I listen to this song, I think of my relationship with my dad. He has been emotionally abusing me for about 4 years now. It’s a constant cycle of me telling him what he’s done/doing to me and him manipulating my feelings and making them seem invalid. He constantly gaslights me and treats me poorly verbally and emotionally. I move out of the house in 7 months, but it gets harder and harder to live under the same roof as him. This song, though, is one that I turn to when I can’t say/stand up to him with these devastating feelings I have. Thank you, Paramore, for making this song and speaking the words I hold inside almost everyday. ❤️
High school was just so good but also so bad. I miss it 😪
I’m not really into this genre of music, but this band is the only exception
Kara Camille Delonas no pun intended ?😂
😆❤️
The puns are real
BUDUM tSSS
Kara Camille Delonas oib
brand new eyes: shit era for the band members but amazing era for their music
agreed
Yea its their best album in my opinion
Why are you sleeping?
Did you guys see TITE kubo drop it like' it's hot and snap her fingers at the same time?
Ah, man, it was sooo Coooool and I thought I could B-boy again.
Ideally, I thought life was free after that point, and then those girls started to show up...
yes, that's the TRUTH. now, the one who had amazing era for both band members and for their music is definitely after laughter
Favorite Paramore Song And Best Album Ever! God Bless This Band🙏
Yooo. This album is amazing. Idk why I’ve always ignored it. Seriously brilliant songs all across the record.
This song hits different now. Who's still here with me listening to this now?

Two months later, after this video. The farro's left. BNE is such a great album and absolute my favorite. But the band was in such a dark place. Even in interviews you could feel the pressure and just them falling apart. And now jerms left.. i seriously don't get why bands can't keep themselves together. Now Paramore is hayley, taylor and zac. I hope it stays that way.
I mean it's definitely rough playing together for several years and not being able to take a break. Basically all bands break up at some point, it's sad but inevitable
Bands usually break up because of how many creative minds combined in one group, combined with each personal ego makes it difficult to stay together. That's from my experience.
Also the stress from touring and having to come up with new albums that'll satisfy both old and new fans.
In this particular case, on top of dealing with personal issues, friends growing up together and becoming themselves, creative differences, touring for months, being away from their family, the Farros's parents were also going through a rough time, they also had to deal with a romantic breakup and it was a nasty one, involving cheating so it was a lot, too much too overcome. Plus, Josh had to stand there every night and hear those lyrics...
Also at the debut of this album they where 20 so about 18/19 when recording that’s a lot of pressure at that age.
This is my favorite Paramore song of all time it’s so authentically her and I love it
I listened to this when I was 10. I looked up the meaning of the song. I still don't know why I clinged to this song back then. Im 21 now. I still love it. mysteriously
There is not one Paramore song I don't like. Group is that good!!!!!
TOTALLY in agreement! I love them :)
Movie matics Hayley is godess . She was in water in monster still looked attractive af. With pink hair still beautiful. Want to meet
Her one day
I'd like to know, if you still think that way.
I love her hair AHHH
OMG Jessie lmao
I LOVE YOU JESSIE
Ahh hey Jessie
Me too, but she look better with hair blonde
jessie what are you doing here i didn't know you liked pmore!
From this video, I haven't seen people talking about the cameos of Jon Howard (former Paramore live member, older brother of Joey Howard) and Hunter Lamb (Former Paramore member from The Summer Tic EP era). Underrated guitarists if you ask me.
I am in my mid 30s. in 2006, Give it a Name London, I saw a small band on the 2nd stage before Underoath were on. That band was paramore. I didn't know them then, they blew me away. It was a tiny little stage next to the main stage that Underoath played on. I went home, bought their debut album. 18 years later, I still occasionally bop my heart out to Paramore tunes with my headphones on. One of the most listened to artists of my life. I miss them.

I like the bit about breaking fingers! As it reminds me of people judging me when they weren't perfect themselves.
I just made the realization that there has never been a band in which I found every one of it's members attractive... except for Paramore
+thesoulporpoise Thats nice!
Wat about BVB?
What about bts(kpop group) .. I can't choose my bias that well.. Like they're all handsome
fall out boy? my chemical romance? panic! at the disco? .::twenty: one:..:pilots:.?
+Amanda the Bear for rEAL
This is one of my favorite music videos of theirs, it’s nice seeing all the members of paramore have a prominent presence in a music video
I dunno how this happen to me.. Whenever i wanted to go back to some memory, even random memory, this song always come in my mind..
The video is meant to be a sequel to "Ignorance", as Hayley is getting revenge on her bandmates for doing same exact thing to her not too long ago.
Ignorance and pressure r my favorite songs
Does anyone else think of how much of a great actress Hayley is? Like, it must be hard enough to write music and lyrics (or, you know, be part of a group that is writing them) and then having a great voice but she's an exceptionally talented actress, too.
+Iris Brill I do! I noticed it the most The Only Exception, Hayley's great. Patrick from Fall Out Boy is an awesome actor too, he did a little guest starring on actual shows and made a short film with Pete.
+Jaimie Yue you can't say the same about Brendon Urie... he's just a lil pretty potato with a giant forehead an exceptionally good voice
Y'all mentioned my favorite bands. :0 (Paramore, Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At The Disco)
+Jaimie Yue I love Patrick Stump, although I'm not feeling whatever Fall Out Boy turned into post-hiatus (a boring stadium pop rock band), but let him flesh out his own creative ideas and you'll have solid gold like his solo album and the lyrics/melodies/grooves on everything Folie a Deux and previous
Literally an Xbox Yes, I agree with that. The new songs have more appeal, I suppose, but they're pretty shallow and wear off much more quickly than tracks on Folie/prehiatus and Soul Punk.
I listen to paramore everyday anytime it’s a bad day listening to hayley sing makes it better for me
a great song from an amazing album, i can listen to this over and over and never get bored, paramore keeps on rocking🤟🏻
this video represents what was going on with band at that time and if you think about it for a second it's like so sad and you can see the problems they had
God that just makes me so sad! I just hope every member in the band left as friends and they don't hold anything against each other. Paramore was the first band I truly loved and it feels like my parents got divorced all over again.
Can I cry now? :(
MADEbySOUL
i feel the same way. =(
REDestiny02 what happened to the band previously? im a new person here soooo yeah..
Hello December Brie !
Honestly, I don't have much news on them right now.
For awhile I only listened to their former songs (from All We Know and Riot).
It just didn't feel the same without the Farro Bro's. The split was too heart breaking.
I've only started listening to their new songs (those after the split) recently.
They still have three of the original members; Hayley, Jeremy, & Taylor.
They have a new album, self-titled.
One of their latest releases is Ain't It Fun. I like it. It's catchy, and kinda reminds me of Fences. When I listen to it, it's like listen to the old (complete) Paramore. :)
I do wish all of them the best.
Hope this helps.
This video nearly brought me to tears. I feel like this was where they were starting to fall apart and seeing them in that table sipping tea like a small family made me so happy. One of their best videos for sure
"I"ll point you to the mirror", is my fav part of this song, always loved paramore 🤘
This brings me back to my HS years, my first crush, the time she broke my heart, the afternoons after school when I used to listen to Paramore on my way back home... I want to go back
Kinda sad that they knew the Farros were leaving the band while filming this and now Zac is drumming for them again! I'm so excited!
Veronica Lopez I love you
Veronica Lopez it is exciting but I'm still sad because of josh
Josh is actually firm about his christian faith and the band was not as christian when they first emerged. It was like My heart to playing God real quick.
We can't also deny that Hayley and Josh once dated.
Veronica Lopez Adszozsosisiass
Did you guys see TITE kubo drop it like' it's hot and snap her fingers at the same time?
Ah, man, it was sooo Coooool and I thought I could B-boy again.
Ideally, I thought life was free after that point, and then those girls started to show up... Test one.
she looks good in any hair colour wth
That's what I'm saying!
blue
Yup. Not many women can pull these colors off!!
true, but short hair doesnt fit her that much
Martin Tomáš Well what do you know? You're just a nimrod.
:)
ugh I just love her throat so much! so talented
Every time I hear this song it reminds me of my most vulnerable moments.
"It has to be so lonely, being the only one that's holy"
Love the chorus. Love coming back to these songs years later and getting hooked on them.
Been listening to this for the past 4 days now amazing song tbh !!! Been a fan since I was 13 I'm 20 now its crazy how time flies.....
I love her black and white glasses really go well with the concept, this video is perfect
I just realized this video is a decade old. The quality is really ahead of its time.
This song makes me think about when I struggled with loving God and my dad. I’ve learned it’s best cut off communication with my earthly father for a better relationship with God. My dad beat into my head from a young age that to be a person of substance I needed to fit into a mould that wasn’t for me. For so many years I thought I was never good enough for God, but when I realized my father was playing God, and not teaching on true Christian principles- I was free to love God and love people. I became happier, I started making friends. I learned that my dad wanted to control me because he wasn’t happy with himself. That had nothing to do with my Spiritual Father and I- it was his brokenness projected on to me as a by-product of his broken spirit.
An overcomer to be
@@darkincognito3826 💖🤙🏼
This is so relatable with my church pastor. Except, I haven’t cut ties. It’s hard, especially when you look up to that person your whole life. I’m glad you haven’t cut ties with God, too. There are people who do and it’s heartbreaking every time.
Stop lying and projecting lol
@@forgotten.mystery. omg you sound just like him🤣 dad?
It's 2023 and I finally got to see Paramore live in New Zealand nearly 20 years after I first became a fan. Life is going okay :)
Highschool days when i use to teach the chords of Paramore songs especially this one, this is the last song i used to teach to my other batchmates. Can't believe it's already 10years...
If you're not attracted to Hayley Williams, you've probably never seen Hayley Williams.
+Matt LeClerc She was my first band member crush. Except for the baby bangs period.... I don't wanna talk about that.
+huntercrunch Hahaha
+huntercrunch well then. but yeah she's hot asf I'd got lesbian for her!😍
Maddy Simpson I was just kidding. She's always been beautiful, everyone gets a bad haircut every once in a while :P
+huntercrunch I wasn't 😂
" maybe you should tie me up so i dont go where you dont want me to" FELT THAT
Man the beat that rhythm and those vocal runs I'm so hooked
Don't worry you're not the only one listening this masterpiece in 2022 . Forever Paramore 💞💞
Yes, forever and ever I listen to Paramore.
❤❤❤
it feels so good to listen to this after listening to "This Is Why"
literally i love her sm
I can not describe all the feelings that i have every time I listen this Band ... This Song make me remember a lot of memories when i was teenager ... Paramore I love You forever and Ever
This or “Turn It Off” are my favorite paramore songs. God I love these guys.
Paramore's albums literally has zero skips, never even found anyone who hates this band ong

Sem contar a "We are Paramore" com tudo deles kkkkk
This song hits home a little too much the more I listen to the lyrics.
I love how she can dye her hair any color and it'll always look good. Dammit Haley you and your kickass hair!!
*Hayley
she wont have any hair soon if she keeps dying it.
Well maybe not blue
is it just me or the volume just goes up at 1:37
I hear it too O.o
Shyte Gallardo LOL, it definitely goes up.
U right , I felt that too
I've always noticed that! I thought it was just me .-.
WELL THATS CREEPY. I just hit that part of the video and was just like, did the volume go up just now? Then saw your comment. I'm not the only one!
Paramore helped me understand that life has a purpose for every one just need to find the right tools to find my ineer freedom
This song takes me back to the good old days of my late preteen and early teen years, one of those eras of my life that I'd always love to go back to.
I love when Hayley's yelling at the guys, they're all just like: "Hayley, can you just untie us? We're all bored down here."
The dark comedy in this video is a big reason why it's my favorite music video of theirs.
Dark comedy👌👍
The last video with the 5 together, it hurts see them all apart. Hope Hayley, Taylor and Zac keep strong together, and wherever Jeremy and Josh were, wish they stay in peace
10 years ago was the best time in music. So nostalgic. Many memories. Now all gone.
OMGG THE VIBE OF THIS MUSIC IS SO PERFECT
"Next time you point the finger, I'll point you to the mirror" To this day I love this part in the song ❤️❤️ She's got the right attitude in this 💯
2:38-2:45 is honestly worth the entire $15 I payed for this album on its own.
Caramba me arrepiei!! Escutava isso na minha fase emo no ensino médio.
I miss 2010 ! Highschool life. Time flies. Live your life to the fullest. Way i see it. Life is short. Playing god.
I gotta admit that when she was looking at Josh's picture through the microscope, it made my heart hurt a little. I wasn't expecting that.
This is their last song with Josh, and funny how this was their last alternative rock song that turns out to be my most favorite song from them.
Your frigging username XD
He quit cause Hayley was constantly criticizing him since she wanted the band to be hers, she cheated on him aswell, it turns out that can’t be too good since the same thing happened to her and turned her into an alcoholic gave her depression and she sees things differently now. I always wonder what she thinks of josh after screwing him over and being screwed over in return.
@@aliyaf9869 proof she actually cheated on him?
@@aliyaf9869 i thought it was because a lot of their songs were changing and saying "god's" name in vein and Josh couldn't get off his high horse and beliefs. He has homophobic tweets proving as such.
Yeah but you forget josh is also a sexist
I used to listen to this wonderful song way back 2013🥺♥️♥️♥️
I've forgotten this song just remember a part of the video clip scene, and then I searched for "Paramore on basement". Finally, I can remember this song again.
Her shades at 2:11 has the same style as the one in Hard Times.

It's probably just me or this and When It Rains fit so well next to eachother...
