  • More on the theme of Beltaine/Bealtainne/Beltane/May Day - all the same just celebrated in many different ways. I recorded a podcast last year with correspondences for those who want to know more on the witchy/druidry path, but this one is mainly about the way we celebrate in the UK and links below to places you can visit if you wish to take a deeper look. There's a few correspondences, but I really can't say much more about it that hasn't been said before on many, many other vlogs. If you celebrate let me know in the comments what you do? Are you a solitary practitioner of a Craft, or do you meet with friends or a group to celebrate? If you have a faith do you recognise this time of the year in anyway?
Beltane is a big festival in the UK, in some respects more than the Summer Solstice.

And what a place to celebrate! I love Glastonbury on a festival day. The energies are out of this world. I haven't been for a few years. Have a great time, I shall watch the Chalice Well ceremony, then hopefully some footage of the May Pole celebrations through town, all online of course. Much love and light and have an absolutely amazing time, C xxx

That was a fun listen. Thank you. Growing up on the west coast of America, we would make little cone shaped May Day baskets out of paper to hang on neighbors doors. We would fill them with flowers, hang them there, ring the bell and run away. When I moved to Hawaii May Day was Lei (flower necklace) Day. There is a big parade and the people and statues are draped with leis. 🌸

I've been listening to your fabulous podcasts for a while and didn't realise you had a connection to Devon. I live very close to Great Torrington. The May Day celebrations are great. I have an altar indoors with a big bunch of wild flowers. Im making Dandelion Honey which is super easy - and not too late x

Hi Vanessa, lovely to hear from you, I think we have spoken before on other social media, at my daughter's family have the same surname from Appledore! I think we were discussing family trees and links. We left Torrington in 2019 and moved back up to East Mids, but we pop back once a year so she can see her brother. I love your idea of Dandelion Honey. I was watching the celebrations in Torrington on facebook - Torrington Cavaliers doing Kylie was just inspired! lol Hope you had a wonderful May Day xx

Thank you for another great podcast. I love the bay leaves with what no longer serves us on them idea. I try not to make things too “witchy” during sabbats as I want to enjoy them with my children/teens. We are going to have a fire pit, flower or leaf crowns, face painting of flowers and dancing. I will do bay leaves with my teenagers later in the evening.
I am full of full moon and spring energy today. Setting lots of intentions.
I look forward to your next podcast. I will have a listen to your guided meditation too! I find your voice motherly and relaxing. I could literally listen to you all day!

I love what you are doing with your family, it sounds a wonderful time for you all. I like the bay leave ritual, it's a really good one as it's not too witchy and anyone can join in and let go. Have a really wonderful time, and thanks for sharing what you do, it's really lovely to hear. Beltane Blessings, C xxx

😃 Hi again, Carolyn! Longing for your magickal podcast and video! 😃
Happy to hear once more your emotion and good humour during this fascinating journey that you are guiding us through! I always go: "Man, only if I could go to Glastonbury or to Chalice Well or to Stonhenge!" For us in abroad your Britain ways look so attractive! Here in Mexico some covens and pagan groups offer open Beltane celebrations, which are pretty fun (even for my introversion, lol)!
The six week record is an amazing idea! I like to reflect on how I change as the Wheel turns and my practice goes!
As a very theistic pagan, my mood during Beltane is: "I remain united to de Lady and to the Lord." I think that's my way to express one of my most sicere spiritual quetes, knowing that in Samhain I will meditate on the last (so to speak) union: the return to the Goddess. That helps me to experiment the polarities of the Wheel of the Year! Also during Beltane I pray for sexual diversity, which means all of us humans, and our rights and our pride!
Oh, that woodpeckers hearing sounds incredible! Real music!
🙏 Sending you healing and wishing you a good recovering, dear friend! 🙏
Thank you so much again for this treasurable video and for so interesting links as well! 😃 Hear you soon! 😃

Thank you so much for sharing how you spend your time with these energies. I don't feel that it matters what we call it, we have just got used to the word Beltane as the internet expanded across the world and more people go to learn about the Wheel. I would personally prefer to hear the different ways in which people connect to the energies rather than a label - labels as we know can be so damaging, even if they are trying to point us in a direction that's positive. I also very much agree about Diversity. I have a podcast in mind for this at some point in the future, probably a way off yet, but it's based on our Soul's purpose! Much love and light to you and those close to you at this special time. C xx
