That Pantheon Ulti at 11:00 was actually brilliant, it cut off Mordekaiser from escaping both viego and Illaoi via blast cone over the krug wall.
Yep, if Panth didn't ult there, Morde would escape via blast cone. It just looks bad at first sight, because Morde didn't use the blast cone.

the easiest way to explain this is the demotion shield. basically a player gets locked in at 0 lp and doesnt de-rank but their mmr takes a huge hit because every game they lose it thinks they should be lower and lower rank. to then match the mmr it places them in a relatively lower mmr game then they should be in and as league is super balanced to be a team game they can't solo carry. added on top of that the game tries to balance the win loss ratio, it so it puts lower skilled people on their team and higher skilled people on the enemy team. Think of it as you being the odd one out in skill level so the game actively gives you worse teammates in a hope to balance out the game, but because the enemy team is a higher skill level in a per lane basis they win more lanes overall making this a constant uphill battle. and even if you win because the mmr of the game is so low compared to your rank your mmr barley goes up but if you lose it drops even harder. all these factors go together making a huge negative lp gain/loss ratio until the player de ranks to the ends of the earth. once you get to negative lp games with a demotion shield your account is just screwed for the rest of the season.
Finally, someone has covered my issue with my main account MMR. I have an alt I use exclusively for playing with my new friends, I'm talking like, level 6 players friends, and somehow it puts us in higher lobbies on that account (level 12 and I intentionally did just perfectly fine in every game, I never farm-killed lower level players) yet I've just gone from Gold, gaining 27 losing 19 to Silver 2 gaining 18 losing 30+ it's fucking WILD.
That must be so frustrating for that player :(
he really is playing his damn heart out in a lot of these fights! I also feel that a lot of the risks he takes, a better team would be able to compensate for and play around.
I've heard something called the mentor system in their matchmaking patents, which sounds exactly how you explained. I'd much rather have 4 equally skilled opponents and teammates, vs 3 skilled and one goofball. That's why games are so volatile and toxic now.
One of the dumbest things too is id clap stuff like mf in lane as trist and even being kills and cs down they would come back to lane with ghostblade and id have compoments cuz lethality is just cheaper than crit. So for losing lane she would be rewarded a powerspike
that's why they changed it that you lose 50lp if you lose the game at 0lp
One thing Ross, that Riven is most likely NOT even whatever their rank said it was. I'm sure he had like 8 or something CS per minute the first 10 minutes and played defensively even better than we've seen Ezreal play during laning. They were never caught out and therefore ganked in lane whereas red side delivered a 4 man at least 3 times.
Vel Koz was absolutely pumping out the damage. Blue team only lost because they were out of position constantly going 1v2/3/4

Ezreal certainly could've played better, but considering his team was going oonga boonga and fight 1 v 3/4/5 all the time, this game wasn't on him. Same as that Kai'sa game, there's not much you can do when everyone plays solo, and it's a coin toss wheter your team throws or theirs. The mistakes he makes are understandable and I know Riot claims there's no such thing as losers queue, but Mortdog also said that less than 1% of people go afk on normals in tft just to progress the battle pass, which is nonsense if you've ever tried playing them. So I don't buy it.
So tldr: I believe this guy is losing so much at no fault of his own. Hell, of 5 of my placement games in solo queue, 4 were lost because someone decided to be a douchebag and lose the game for everyone else for the most bs reasons by either going afk or intentionally feeding.
My completely unsubstantiated theory is that pantheon is chuckster's less skilled partner and they just duo all the time. Something like this might explain some part of the high stats low winrate

i love this kind of video! i was gold 2021 and started to lose alot and got down to iron and been stuck there since then.. and yes i am bad i know that , tho i havent played since early 2023 just started again but this you explaining have happened to me
I actually loved the way riven played the mid and endgame. She was getting all the good engages by flashing on the carries even if it meant sacrificing herself every time
I'm no expert but to me it sounds like they purchased an account and then fell to where their skill level is. I've never gotten beyond silver, and took two years off, and I still didn't end up in iron during this season's placements. I find it unrealistic that any plat player could end up in iron.

I play consistently on two accounts that are 2 tiers apart.
1. Luck - even if you are a plat player, if you happen to end up with 10 games of 2v5 in a row in your placements, followed by yuumi bots, or afk's and have this kind of luck continuously your MMR gets nuked and then even if you carry the climbs are small... there are ways around that but it also the issue of regions... in the Asian regions they are stricter while in NA and EU they are more lax allowing trolls to be more prevelent... though Asia produces trolls who are better since they find ways in a system which hinders it
Either way they is also the role issue... ADC level from Bronze to Plat is not a big diff, but other roles are like night and day in difference...
I was iron 2 and then iron 1 for so long while my stats were pretty okay, sometimes it's just hard to get out 😭
i went from gold to iron in a week, not throwing or anything, just getting absolute trolls every game
Idk something was very wrong at the start of the season. Given I shifted roles this season but matchmaking was completely fucked for the first 2-3 patches. I went from ending in plat with low emerald elo all the way down to silver 4 at my lowest point where I faced 1 or 2 iron players. I opened the season with around 30 losses where I had just no chance I would on average go 20 cs and 2 kills up in laningphase only to check toplane and my guy just lost his inhibitor at minute 15. My elo has recovered since I am gold 1 mostly facing platinum again but something somewhere went terribly wrong at the start of the season. If I had gone harder in january I would not be surprised if I had dropped into bronze.

The Riven though isn't doing anything special with their lane partner, they seem to just choose Bot/Supp and always go bot lane with Riven for cheese. Reminds me of a person I knew who used to do nothing but Riven bot lane and would sometimes duoqueue with a friend to play a tank CC champ like Maokai so they could just cheese lane and get super fed.
i always take bloodsong on sera support, i used to go lich bane but now i don’t need to waste an item slot lol
As someone who just got back into ranked after 6 years I can say people in lower elos have gotten worse I'm slowly climbing but some games are winnable because I'm fed but the rest of the team doesn't see the win condition and ffs as soon as they can

I’m genuinely wondering what ezrael would look like with a tan full of plat players. Do they play just as well? Do their skills still translate?
This question is responsible for like 80% of accounts that get sold in league. It's all players who get stuck in low elo and feel like they're better than their rank so they buy accounts that aren't hardstuck and test their abilities there. Most of the time you don't see massive declines because like a lot of high elo players that do multiple climbs in a season say, the technical difference between players under diamond is pretty negligible. The biggest issues are when it comes to wave management and macro, which makes sense because low elo games like this one shows that no one players for macro because everything is a fiesta of nonstop fighting for no reason.
Unironically if you understand how to farm and join your team for objectives, an iron/bronze player can fit in with plat players easily.

This right here is the reason why ADC is worthless. In most elos, we would be better off picking literally anything else, yet we keep trying to force our favorite champions into a role they don't belong in.
I think the player bought an account that someone wanted to finally get rid of that happened to be at plat before, but they themselves are obviously not that good
elo hell exsists! i was gold 1 plat 4 for some time as leona thresh only, all my champ stats are up to plat/emerald ( gold,map control, kill partici[ation and act) all my champs are at mastery 7 before 40k points easy. tokens are chalanger earned by 0.2-0.5% of players. my favorite title unkilable deamon and im getting it on a lost games with thresh while having assists and kills!!! and yet im now in broize for 3 months and cant get out as thresh main as i get teammates who cant even ward or dont know what last hiting minions gives you. elo hell exsists and for non dmg support its hard!!!

As of now, they're at Bronze 3, still 46% win rate. Like, they look like they do super well in lane, lots of damage on enemies, but when looking at their teammates.. It's frightening. Like one of his last games, he even had a fed Katarina on his team while he was doing well, but their top was 6/16 who ints nearly every game. I genuinely believe they might've actually just gotten loserq because they do well and even spectating them, they don't appear to be doing poorly. Their CSing isn't amazing, but they take towers, they help with objectives, they farm at least at a gold or plat level. I don't understand.

I think people are too obsessed with KDA as a measurement of how good someone is.. The ultimate goal of the game is kill the nexus.. Even if you get 10 - 30 kills.. It doesn't really matter if you're just going to die once before baron and give the enemy team a win con..
It's the ratio rather than the amount of kills themselves. The greater it is, the less deaths and therefore the more positive outcomes. Ezreal was in all but one major objective the team contested, applied damage at a consistent rate. Took on fights knowing his damage, etc, etc. His biggest issue is map awareness and getting his team to peel. Pantheon had horrible engages towards the end. Viego, too. Vel Koz was on his wavelength but he probably thought he was the adc because he was not peeling. Illaoi, well, illaoi is rightfully iron.
@@chillaxboi2109yeah i understand it's a ratio... but it really doesn't matter... kills, assists or deaths you get in the game.. ultimately winning through macro consistently is going to win you the game.. It's a noob trap imo.. too many people rely on it for a indication of good performance.. Deaths doesn't = bad outcome.. bad deaths = bad outcome.. you can have a good macro death.. multiple in fact throughout the game.. That lead to positive outcomes..
Dependent on the champion, role, etc, etc. To think that Ornn could take you to the win through macro alone is crazy to me. Yes he can win teamfights but that is also dependent on how the team is doing. Whereas Tryndamere/Yorick of the same skill could split the team into manageable chunks that PERHAPS he or the 4 remaining could manage. @@DjayTriple8

This sounds like my account.... I wonder if it is... I actually enjoy playing in Iron and bronze.. Because its so wild.. Yes I play to win, but the way they play lol. But that sooo sounds like my account.. Also if it is.. The reason for it it being this account with the plat.. Is because this account has all the champions and I can have fun on them.
But iron is so much fun, to play in.. No stress. Constant Fighting Everywhere lol.. Just fun. Theres usually a death within the first min.. Ive been in some plat games you wont see a death for mins nor a good group fight.

That's a ... very specific scenario. If it was a relative's account (which I don't think, because the player is *playing* well) wouldn't it be more reasonable if the older sibling just got a full time job or lost interest, and gave the account to the younger sibling?

If you set aside an hour a day to be able to play games, instead of playing 2 games. Play 1 and review that game for misplays. That's how you identify mistakes and improve. If all you constantly do is grind with no reflection or examination, you're doing learning wrong.
