  • Lynmouth to Watersmeet is a Stunning Exmoor National Park Walk.
Starting in the pretty village of Lynmouth, on the North Devon Coast, this walk takes you along the River Lyn to the National Trust's Watermeet House.
Pretty Bridges, a flowing river and stunning scenery makes this one of the best walks we have done!

Live in NZ now but I'm a Somerset boy and Watersmeet is my favourite place of all time - just something about the noise from the water the trees, very peaceful sitting in the shade - especially very beginning or end of tourist season when it's a bit less busy.

It is a truly stunning place, that's for sure. Thank you so much for watching, and commenting, stay safe in NZ

hi Richard, in case you don't know there is a large car park on the road above watersmeet so you just walk down have morning coffee and set of from there upstream to Rockford where you cross over the footbridge have a rest and a pint or two then up the road to the footpath gate to return on the other side , very rewarding ! Definitely something to consider for next time. Particularly the part about the pint or two. It's been a while since I had one of those in an actual pub!!!

I am jealous!! Have a great time. There is also Valley of the Rocks not too far away. Great views but more sea than river!! czcams.com/video/EsqrvUh3LbI/video.html Thank you for commenting and watching!

Thank you for the comment and it certainly is an amazing walk. We had heard about the extended walk, but with a 6 year old in tow, we decided to do the shorter walk! Perhaps the longer walk will be enjoyed at a later date.👍

Charming village and the woods so refreshing. Do you know where to see wild pony and deers in Exmoor national park?

I don't I am afraid. We saw a few places when we were there, but I don't recall seeing any. We are from the New Forest, so we are spoiled with them here. Thank you for watching and stopping by

@@drivinghorizons Nice to hear New forest has pony, Yorkshire county is part of my England trip itinerary, definitely will visit New Forest.

@@peacevkw Just incase you are disappointed, and end up cursing me, I am referring to the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, not the New Forest in North Yorkshire! :) Have a great trip!
