- Searching $20 Bills for Star Notes and Fancy Serial Numbers! I picked up $10,000 worth of federal reserve notes from a local bank hoping to find more star notes and/or fancy serial numbers in this circulated stack of bills.
I just got into currency searching recently so I am learning as I go. I appreciate any feedback or comments you may have!

I hope you enjoy this hunt with me. I was super happy to find those $20 star notes but they were not rare, according to the research i did on them. They were actually part of a 3,200,000 print run.

Luis Lopez Luis- I’m not really qualified to do that. I think you should try to sell it on eBay (set a reserve if you are concerned about it selling too low) and visit www.mycurrencycollection.com to check its rarity and print run. Sorry I can’t offer more.

hello, we have $k in old money, from 1950 on up. Is there any value to them aside from the print dates?.. i did find 4 * notes though. I wish I knew how to find their value and who would i sell them to? thanks great channel!
I got a 2009 20 ,dollar bill it's got a red line from his eye going down. Just below the red its looks like 53. 5. NA ANY CLUES

So what you do when u find a rare star note?
My friend went to the bank the other day to cash some checks he got from mowing and he got 10 sequential $20 star notes brand new. And whenever I go to the bank they never have a lot of $20 or $10 it is always $1 $5 and $50 and $100 and they refuse to order any for me I asked about $2 bills and they said the boss doesn’t let them order those and said that they only get them when someone brings them so I never get to do much currency hunting.

Great video... I have a 1996 Series $20 note with the following errors: Bill printed off center, located at the bottom & on the edge of the note; left top green serial # printed at the bottom and on the "20"; bottom right green serial # printed at the bottom and on the "TWENTY"; and the green Seal of The Department of Treasury printed off center of "TWENTY" and touched the bottom edge of the "M" of the word "AMERICA". Is this $20 bill worth anything?
From the amount of errors you have described it would fetch about a 10-15% premium, but it also depends on the condition, the serial number and how off the printing really is. Do you have a pic?

Jeez my wife will only rarely agree to let me get a box of halves, let alone 10,000! LOL. So I stick to nickels and pennies. She understands the fun, and excitement, but she sees it as spending the money because its no longer in our account.

Unfortunately, I had to finance it. 🤦♂️ I wish I would’ve bought me a $10K vehicle in cash! I hate having car payments. I’m 20 years old, I shouldn’t have debt!

Today was a good day. You upload with some great finds. Do you search for mixed ladders aswell... Bills like 35876214 etc? (Where it is all a mixed sequence of numerical order 1-8 or 2-9)
I found my first v nickel today btw 1907... And found a nice repeater trinary star note.

I have a trinary $50 bill that is basically uncirculated except for some slight creasing. I want to sell it because I can't afford to hang onto it. Where's the best pla e to sell. Ebay wouldn't be worth it they charge too much. And it would be a shame if it got put out into circulation.

Hey Rob, I went to my credit union a few weeks ago to get $4,500 in singles to do another currency check video and THEY DID NOT EVEN have ONE THOUSAND in singles in stock. Personally, I find that pretty scary. They had to order them for me. So-question, did you have to order this 10k and did they make you fill out the Homeland Security form?

They have it but never in 100's or 1's... You can get 20's no problem. I can get up to $500 in 1's and 5K in 100's without an order.

Only if they have a fancy serial number or you are building a collection. They are pretty much only worth $20 (face value).

Diggin Dave - I have kept a little cash over the years in a separate account that I use to withdraw and redeposit for cash. In the end, after keeping the notes I do keep, it depletes over time. I just top it off every now and again to keep it around what I need. I also do run fast (LOL - Mr Mojo!)...

GREAT Idea. If you just watched my video of FREE SILVER FROM A LOCAL BANK, I found a bank who does not get rid of all the customer rolls that come in as they get charged a separate pick-up fee from their armored car service if they take it....so they have an ENTIRE VAULT full of rolled coins!!! They said I can come in EVERY DAY and buy what I want WITHOUT even being a customer!!! WOW! (ONLY Stipulation is I CANNOT bring any back, LOL) AND if I was a customer they would ORDER more of whatever I wanted) So.....they have one of those kids Christmas accounts that you can open up with a small amount, so you can bet I opened an account there.....Hope to be getting customer rolls from this place for eons!!!!
