As a Trelino toilet user I have to strongly disagree with your review. I am guessing you have not used it much. Nice to see comparative reviews however, so nice video.
We have had a Trelino (size large) in our van for a year. We use it as a full time toilet.
    - We can get a good 2 weeks, sometimes 3 weeks out of the solids container, thats using wet wipes and a small wet wipes bin. I have left the toilet with the solids 1/2 full sitting for 2 months and still zero smell. Urine yes you need to empty as that does start to smell in any toilet, but the Trelino has a one way silicon valve for the urine so no smell until you open the urine container to empty it.
    - Zero smell ! we just thrown in a handful of mini hemp stalks (rabbit bedding) after each solids use.
    - There IS a fan kit for the Trelino and I installed it. BUT I tested and even without the fan there is not solids smell. As everyone knows the urine smells more than the solids.
    - We never use the little solids "lid" no need for it.
#1 benefit of toilets like the Trelino with bag liners, so so much faster and easier to empty the solids, takes me all of 3-4 min to tie off the bag, lift out and replace. Stir the solids toilets take lots of cleaning and hassle to empty and lets face it NO one is actually composting. Human solids take 9-12 months to safely compost. Everyone is bagging and binning anyway. If your not and just throwing the solids thinking its safe, its not.
We have tried a few toilets, hands down the Trelino is just small, simple, crazy easy to clean and crazy easy and fast to empty.

Good to know. I usually dumped it after a few uses. Just because it's so easy! Hemp stalks huh... That's cool.

@@Vankookz We tried the whole Coconut Coir and add water etc just to try the mix. What a pain to prepare. As well I tested and dry rabbit bedding (Mini hemp Stalks) absorbs more moisture.
The Mini hemp Stalks is super light weight and easy to store, easy to just grab a handful and throw in.
Big benefit to a bag liner type urine separating toilet, aside from zero cleaning, is that you don't need to use Coconut Coir damp mixture etc.

I built my own with a Trobolo divider kit for 150 euros (including wood). I just wish the marketing people would stop calling this composting toilets. They are really DRY toilets. No composting will take place.

The 2nd one is a glorified bucket 🪣
when the other two are definitely composting toilets.

Sorry not true. We use a Trelino, they work amazingly well, no smell, easy and fast to empty. They DO have a fan kit. Throw in a handful of mini hemp stalks after each solids use and zero smell.
Also NO ONE is composting. Human solids takes 9-12 months to safely compost so in reality everyone is bagging and binning anyway. If your not and just throwing the solids thinking its safe its not.

@@rbrown Cool to know about the fan. No totally true. We are all bagging and binning. Just some are more glorified than others.
