  • Published 07/08/2020 The 2020 Kawasaki zh2 review, this supercharged Streetfighter is an anomaly, super powerful and yet Easy to live with, Have Kawasaki have produced the everyday naked superbike for every rider? #kawasaki #zh2 #streetfighter
Kawasaki have been at the top of the power game and motorcycle innovation for decades and it shows too. Kawasaki are not shy either, it may seem that they plod along building high quality Traditional bikers bikes but every now and again they shake up the bike world with some special kit.
I remember back in 1978 as a 16 year old ( yep I’m that old...), I was stood outside Cusworths Motorcycle Showroom in good Old Doncaster when a bloke wheel spun away on a new Z1300 leaving a black line in the road, I was hooked, biking was already in my blood but sights like that just cemented it... and years later Kawasaki did the same thing, I mean who needs a H2r .... ? Well nobody needs one but we all want one because of what it is.... it’s an incredible Motorcycle. This ZH2 is another subtle milestone as it gives a rider a super fast supercharged 200 bhp missile. I mean just wait till the tuners get hold of it, there’s tonnes of monster power in the
Engine already, just wait till they breath on the zh2 lump.
But the power and presence is Not the whole story, it handles well, it’s practical and
, it’s all day comfy, not to mention that compared to the H2r its almost affordable.... just go and ride one if you can find a Demo, it’s awesome ..... good on Kawasaki for building this bike, just because they can!
Anything i say about the kit you see me use in the video is my honest opinion as it’s mine, I bought it, I am not sponsored. Although I am partial to the odd freebie... 😜
Hit the subscribe button to catch the next videos as soon as they are posted, I’m quite enjoying this video making now I’m getting used to the kit. Life can only get better!
Big thanks to Laguna Motorcycles www.laguna.co.uk

For whoever is wondering..... this bike wheelies in the first 4 gears. Its incredibly fast. When the ecu gets unlocked, i have little doubt it will wheelie in all 6 gears.

As a motorbike it’s just so good it’s almost too good, smooth yet monster fast when the taps open, I’m buzzing to have another go when it’s run-in properly, I hate thrashing and I Bike from new, I reckon with 2/3 thousand miles of proper running- a well ridden ZH2 will be a sports-bike eater for sure...... The search for power has no end, I’ve got no doubt that this beastie has so much untapped performance ... Kawasaki have always been able to produce monster engines when they want to. I am old enough to remember (I was a spotty teenager once ) when the Z1300 appeared at Cusworths motorcycle in Doncaster.... it was like omg I am going to be a biker... for life ...
Thanks for the comments, feedback is food for the Sole....

Lovely overtake when you passed the red / orange hatchback, and he was trying, then stayed out and got the Ford too

+terry Nicholson hi terry, my comments have just landed on mass, which is a bit odd but it’s good of you to take time to comment, and you are on for the ride out too, I’m looking to test the new triumph speed Triple and that will probably be run down the Marsh again so watch this space...
      Cheers

Great review Reg. All that seems to have changed from the past is the commentary style 😉

I love my zh2. Just had 1st service done and getting used to being able to rev her higher. Fitted a scorpion Exhaust and the quickshifter sounds bloody lovely now. I have the red one and love it.. only thing I dont like is shes a little heavy for pushing around the garage and moving walking the bike around. Almost dropped her a few times. Once on the move the weight isn't a problem.

I have had my zh2 three months, the two features I dislike are lack of steering damper as the handle bar wobbles when you put the power down and wheelbase is very short, very short swingarm, good feature for going around corners for sure but not if you have this much power, 1st to 4th you can pull the front up and in 5th and 6th above 8000rpm it has somuch pull the front wheel is bouncing on the ground as the engine pulling so hard.
These are not good features but I am learning to live with them. Other than that it is an insane motorcycle. Enjoying it.

Great review, you makes some good points, one thing that could be better is the picture and sound quality, especially the picture quality is I feel quite bad.
With better picture quality this would be epic, will follow you anyway ;-)

Thanks for watching my review, and a follow together with the valuable comments both good and bad, I absolutely appreciate that I’m not the best when it comes to the art of video productions but as a hobby tuber I’m sure I’ll get to a better place in time. I’m still resisting the fashion of churning out content that simply repeats press launch blab, I just like riding bikes and if I can video it too, all the better. Keep watching my friend, hopefully I will have some newer stuff coming out just in a few weeks... take care, ride Safe.

Have seen the bike in the flesh and not sure about the bikes looks but imagine fantastic to ride, I have a z1000sx which I would love to try in H2 form, Cheers TSM.

Hi Mate, welcome and thanks for the comments, I’m still a bit of newbie with this CZcams stuff, ( other stuff just keeps getting in the way) i have fun making the vids when I do get going show I should get out more on my bikes. Talking about bikes I have been a Ktm Fan for years and the SuperdukeR is a weapon on the road but the Ducati V4s Streetfighter is very special, odd looks perhaps , but as a road bike I thought it was just so much more refined than the SDR. Keep an eye out as I will get some more stuff done when the circs allow....

  • @erfect420

You Didnt mention the quickshifter..its one of the best things

    • @36moto
      @36moto  Před 4 lety +1

A quickshifter is a great thing and should be standard on all these superbikes when you consider how expensive they are.... it would have been more obvious if it didn’t have one like I mentioned in 1290 r KTM review.... where it’s not std... The zh2 was so smooth and precise it was a joy to use, gearbox included, I couldn’t fault it... fair play KAWASAKI
