FINALLY !!! Glad I'm not the only one. I like how they were dressed in the movie to match their personalities and all than just having different bands around their eyes and some weapons. And it characters them more in my opinion. And the sequel, they're more better.

The second movie bombed and Paramount got cold feet and canned the 3rd movie. I heard a rumor the 3rd movies script was done and featured Leatherhead and Fly Baxter Stockman too.
I don't mind tying April into their origin story, but they missed a huge opportunity to tie Hamato Yoshi into it as well by having _him_ be the one who wrote the Art of Ninjitsu book. They could've even made it a plot point in a future movie where Splinter and the Turtles meet Yoshi and thank him for inspiring them to study martial arts. But at least they used Eastman and Laird's names, which was still kind of clever. If anyone's going to teach them martial arts, it might as well be the guys that created the franchise in the first place.

the dwi comics is a compromise between the splinter's first two origins as where he was Hamoto Yoshi who was reincarnated into rat after being killed by the shredder.
Rae Phillips story development and the CGI. Not sure how old you are but in the late 80's when this came out it was a whole different origin to the story so people seem to want the old story line even though this is like a new take on it

Seems legit.

Watch TMNT history here on CZcams, I think They gave each of them characteristics that were a callback to some of their concept story history ( I think for TMNT4 in the 90's..?) that never got made. Apparently in one storyline they were supposed to have undergone a second mutation which gave each of them even more mutant capabilities than they already have, and Donnie's I think was Clairvoyancy but SUPER BLIND. and Raph was basically a hulk rage monster. So the stereotypes were already previously hit up on in the franchise way before these got made. It looks like a solid throwback homage to that. :/

And the one friend you have in the world just says something dirty behind your back is just heartbreaking 💔 I know Jack didn’t mean it but why did he have to say “kill myself” like that Is just shattering Auggie had to find out that his only friend didn’t even want to be his friend from the start and was just being nice and wasn’t really his friend literally made me cry 😭 Auggie isn’t ugly he deserves so much better. I’m glad Jack showed protective friend moves by punching Julian for saying Auggies a freak and stood up for him with bullies that’s a true friend there but before nope!! 😢😢
